Such a mischievous headline from the Times of India! Bengaluru, being Karnataka’s largest city, has long had serious discrepancies in its electoral rolls, including duplicate entries, names of migrated voters and other outdated records. This is also one of the reasons why voter turnout has consistently hovered around 52–53%. The SIR exercise is now seeking to correct these discrepancies. Take my own constituency, Bengaluru South, for example: Total electors in 2024: 23,41,759 Votes polled in 2024: 12,45,252 Electors in 2026 draft roll: 12,19,574 The draft roll now has 12.19 lakh electors, remarkably close to the 12.45 lakh votes polled in 2024 - indicating almost all eligible voters having come onto the roll. Importantly, this is only a DRAFT roll. Any eligible voter whose name has been missed can apply for inclusion through Form 6. Voter registration is an ongoing process. There is far too much misinformation surrounding SIR. Unfortunately, even established newspapers are contributing to this confusion. The objective is simple: every eligible citizen must be on the voter list, and every ineligible or duplicate entry must be removed. That is fundamental to the integrity of our democracy.

Peaceful protests?🤔 अरविंद केजरीवाल के गुंडे तुम्हारी घटिया और अराजकता फैलाने वाली सोच को जनता अब समझ चुकी है!
Businesses do not suffer because of peaceful protests. They suffer when the govt decides to shut down an entire city, suspend internet services and restrict the movement of its own citizens and turn the city into a war-zone. Since its inception, the Cockroach Janta Party has maintained that we will always follow Gandhi’s path of peace and non-violence, and we have stood by that commitment. We have organised protests in Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bengaluru and Nagpur, and every single one of them has been peaceful. I was personally assaulted in Jaipur, but even then, I chose not to retaliate because responding to violence with violence goes against everything we believe in. We would rather exercise the rights guaranteed to us by the Constitution, drafted under the leadership of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, than resort to physical force. Our strength comes from our commitment to constitutional values, and no amount of provocation will make us abandon them. Despite this, there are constant attempts to portray us as anarchists simply because we refuse to remain silent. But demanding answers from the govt is not anarchy, protesting against injustice on the streets is not anarchy, and questioning those who hold public office is certainly not anarchy. These are the most fundamental expressions of democracy. The very party that is in power today spent decades organising protests, taking to the streets and questioning the governments of the day when it was in opposition. Had the same restrictions, intimidation and police crackdowns been used against them, many of those who occupy positions of power today might never have reached where they are. It is deeply hypocritical to celebrate protests as a democratic right when you are in opposition and treat the same act as a threat to public order when you come to power. We are not asking for privileges or special treatment. We are simply asking to exercise the rights that belong to every citizen of this Republic, irrespective of which party is in power. So let us fulfil our duty as citizens of this country by questioning those we elect, demanding accountability and speaking up whenever we witness injustice. A govt that has been elected by the people is bound to listen to the people, not silence them. Democracy does not end once the votes have been counted.

“𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞,” 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐲. Their mask is off. The sinister agenda is now out in the open. Unable to win the trust of 140 crore Indians during elections, the INDI Alliance and its radical cabal are openly challenging the very foundations of the Indian Republic. Their own words expose their intent. Rahul Gandhi brazenly declares, “Our fight is against the Indian State itself.” Not against a political party. Not against a government policy. But against the Indian State itself and its constitutional machinery. Prashant Bhushan openly calls for “regime change” and has spoken of revolution involving bloodshed, guns and the Army. This is not the language of democratic dissent or a peaceful transfer of power through elections. It raises a fundamental question: when they speak of regime change, are they talking about defeating a government at the ballot box or bringing the State to its knees through street violence? Then comes Neha Bora, glorifying foreign turmoil with the slogan, “Lal Salaam to Bangladesh for showing the way.” This is an open romanticisation of the upheaval, violence and mob lynchings associated with Bangladesh’s political crisis, while holding up events beyond the constitutional process as a model to follow. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞: 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐚𝐰 𝐞𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐫𝐲 “𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧” 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐚𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫. 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐬 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐨𝐬. But India is not Bangladesh. It is not Nepal. India is a strong, resilient Republic, anchored in its Constitution, democratic institutions and the will of its people. And beyond law enforcement stands the greatest safeguard of all: crores of law-abiding Indians who will not allow the sanctity of our Republic, our Tricolour or our sovereignty to be undermined. No political ambition is greater than the nation. No street mobilisation can substitute for the people’s mandate. And no call for upheaval can override the Constitution. Every attempt to undermine democratic institutions must be confronted through the rule of law, constitutional safeguards and the unwavering resolve of the Indian people. 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜. 🇮🇳 Jai Hind!

Chal Dickpe, get ready to walk to Tihar Jail No 6. DCP PRO Neha Yadav drops enough hints. ~CJP has issued appeal to general public via SM &PC to gather at Central Park in CP at 5:00 PM. ~AAP has also urged its workers, supporters & general public to join this protest and attend in large numbers. ~Given the current security and law-and-order situation, a prohibitory order under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) is ALREADY in effect in Connaught Place and its surrounding areas aimed at maintaining peace & order and ensuring the safety of individuals as well as public and private property. ~NDMC has informed Delhi Police, via a formal letter, that Central Park will remain closed on October 16 and 17 due to administrative reasons. ~NDMC has requested Delhi Police to make appropriate security arrangements for this significant and sensitive public park and to prevent any unauthorized individuals from entering. ~Various trade and market associations in and around Connaught Place have submitted requests seeking protection for their shops and establishments against disruptive elements and unlawful gatherings. ~Delhi Police appeals to protesters and general public not to participate in any gathering that violates the orders issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which is currently in force. ~Appropriate legal action will be taken against those who violate these orders. ~Delhi Police also said it could facilitate a select group of people to wave the national flag and sing the national anthem at a "suitable" place. But natural, due to pressure from his political masters, Dickpe will not be able to apply better sense & will end up entering the trap.
