We've just released a new official Android skill that can be used to statically analyse your #JetpackCompose code for performance improvements. ⚡️
Install it, and ask your agent to run the skill on your code. 🧑💻
We've seen some good results running it internally - give it a try and let us know any feedback!

I made a convergence roadmap generator that works in the browser and lets you download printable, high-res images of 15 different regions.

Let me know what you think!
That video was created by Claude just from screenshots and in two prompts, and it's definitely unoriginal and derivative, but so good for a tweet.
This is based on an old project that required 50GB of RAM (all of @openstreetmap 's data) to run. I created a road simplifier in Rust to keep each region below 10MB of WASM. This was extremely fun to build.

🧪 Why do we test? 📹 Scalable Testing Strategies I recorded these videos to help beginners understand the importance of testing, providing a starting point for useful tests that give the right amount of feedback at the right time.

📹 The second video talks about specific techniques and tools that you can use, like screenshot testing or GMD.

Any recommendations for open-source dashboards that show test results and test history? Allure Report maybe? It hasn't been updated in 6 months and I'm struggling to generate reports for instrumented tests.
Am I punished by 3L0n if I recommend every #AndroidDev to move to another, more open, social network?

It covers:
- The old pyramid and why it makes no sense
- Google's 5-layer pyramid
- Size vs Scope
- Infra considerations
- Screenshot testing, including the plans for the Preview Screenshot Testing tool!
📣 The testing documentation has received a major update! Opinionated testing strategies, screenshot testing, performance tests, flakiness, Robolectric and large screens! I published a summary here -> medium.com/androiddevelopers…
We released a new testing library! 🔬
It's a bit niche because it's for Health Connect but we'd love to hear your feedback whether you use it or not because we're being opinionated on *how* you should test your code.

Would you like to see more opinionated fakes? What APIs would benefit from having a better testing story?
Thanks to @arkann1985 for all the help with the API. We had a lot of `fun` with the Stub and MutableStub classes.
Have you experienced issues when setting breakpoints and debugging instrumented tests?
