Two POWDER-associated papers have been accepted for workshop presentations at the IEEE MILCOM 2026 conference! Both efforts use software from the OCUDU Ecosystem Foundation's OCUDU Technical Project to perform over-the-air testing.

The first effort, lead by Rimedo Labs, will be presented at the 5G/6G Military Communications Workshop. The paper presents a proactive jamming-detection application designed to improve the resilience of 5G communications under intentional RF interference. arxiv.org/abs/2609.18499
The second effort, by the POWDER team, will be presented at the NRDZCOM8: Demonstrable and Deployable Spectrum Coexistence and Agility Workshop. The paper describes new capabilities in OpenZMS, an open source Zone Management System. flux.utah.edu/paper/354
The SpectrumX and POWDER teams are combining equipment and expertise to collaborate on spectrum sensing research. One of the SpectrumX Mobile Experimentation Platform (MEP) devices has been deployed as a bring-your-own-device in POWDER.

We are excited to announce the availability of our first v1.1 RF front ends! The two new RF front ends are connected to NI N310 SDRs on the MEB and Browning rooftops. The new v1.1 RF front ends make more RF links feasible.
