Want to do RAG on websites all with one DB call? The team at @postgresml posted an amazing blog on how to use Firecrawl with their Korvus SDK which unifies the entire RAG pipeline in a single database query. Check it out below 👇

In my experience, the accuracy gap between open-source and proprietary is negligible now and open-source is cheaper, faster, more customizable & sustainable for companies! No excuse anymore not to become an AI builder based on open-source AI (vs outsourcing to APIs)!

Re-ranking retrieved results can be a powerful boost to the relevance of your response. With a managed index like @postgresml that's as easy as passing an extra parameter or two. Check out their guest post on our blog: llamaindex.ai/blog/improving…

Over 1,000 stars now! The postgres and open source software community is incredible! I can’t wait to see what everyone makes with Korvus
Releasing our latest open source project Korvus! Korvus is an incredibly fast and powerful search pipeline built on Postgres. I’m really excited to see what everyone makes with it.

GPU-accelerated databases are mind-blowing! Imagine a database natively integrated with best-in-class AI foundational models: • Zero warmup latency • Massive GPU-backed scalability • Ability to process your data with any model • Ability to train and fine-tune models on your data There are 1.7 million deployments of PostgreSQL worldwide, one of the world's most popular relational database management systems. Now, the team behind @postgresml is making them 10 times more powerful. Look at the attached image. That's an SQL script running Llama 3 at the database label to generate titles for a novel! You can do the same in Python or JavaScript. You can access models like Llama 3, Mistral, and Phi without leaving your database. This has massive speed and cost implications! You can also integrate your database with Hugging Face transformers and train and run supervised and unsupervised algorithms on your data. What's happening here is massive: We are combining the compute and the data layers as a single GPU-accelerated database. You can access virtually infinite GPU processing cores and terabytes of GPU memory on the same hardware where your data is cached. This will completely change how we start building RAG applications. This post is sponsored by @postgresml xitter.cf/postgresml. Their service is one of the most cool innovations I've seen lately. They have much more information and several benchmark metrics on their site: postgresml.org. Pay particular attention to their code examples. Mind-blowing stuff!

There is a lot of talk around different RAG methods, but for new practitioners in the space I don't often see discussions on why we need RAG and how it is actually implemented. Thats why we wrote a quick zero to RAG primer: postgresml.org/docs/use-case…

This is why I’m bullish on @postgresml - devs will always prefer to do things in data stores they already use in production
I'm convinced most teams will just use vector search baked into their existing DB, the way JSON has been built in over last few years. It's already happening: BigQuery's added Vector Search: cloud.google.com/bigquery/do…

High-signal set of talks on ML X DBs from the CMU database group. I particularly recommend the talk on @postgresml from Montana Low. Condensed nuggets of ML operations wisdom from years in the trenches, plus a vision of the future. youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…

I've created a few GPTs, they're not very good at face value and have to be begged to check the docs first. RAG with PostgresML is significantly better. GPTs feels cheap.

Bringing ML/AI into the database where the data already lives makes a lot of sense. This concept is already live in open source projects like @mindshub and @postgresml Make ML easy. Do it with SQL.
