🏝Spring break is here (woohoo) and some families are starting to vacation. ✋But for most children, the last time they were swimming was months ago and skills can get rusty. Make sure you refresh #WaterSafety tips with your kids! #DrowningPrevention #SpringBreakSafety

Do your children have a designated #WaterWatcher for spring break? Having a responsible adult provide undistracted supervision while children are playing in or near water can greatly help to reduce the risk of accidental drownings.

🚨Kids should be instructed to stay away from pool drains. The vacuum effect of a pool drain on human skin is equal to 100lbs of pressure‼️ That is strong enough to trap & hold small children under water‼️ 💯Active supervision is a necessity. #DrainSafety #DrowningPrevention

Parents are the first line of defense in keeping kids safe in the water. 🌊 If your child's in the water, you should be too! Constant, careful supervision and barriers such as pool fencing are necessary even when children have completed swimming lessons. 📷: Blue Buoy
