🥈Silver to “Infinity”? Rafi Farber’s Argument Isn’t Really About Getting Rich… It’s About the Dollar! 👉In his interview with The SilverTrade, Rafi Farber, publisher of The End Game Investor & a commentator on gold, silver & monetary economics, argues that silver’s biggest move could come from a loss of confidence in currency, not simply stronger industrial demand. 👉His starting point is the bond market. Rising yields push down the market value of existing fixed-rate bonds, potentially putting pressure on institutions holding them, especially if they need to sell to raise cash. 🔥Farber argues that a severe credit crisis could eventually force another wave of monetary intervention. He expects silver to outperform gold as more people seek metal suited to smaller transactions. 👉He points toward a gold-to-silver ratio near 15:1 in that scenario. That’s his thesis, not an established destination. He also acknowledges he doesn’t know the Treasury yield that would trigger the next crisis. 🥇Here’s the distinction worth keeping: a metal’s price exploding in a failing currency doesn’t automatically mean its owner is getting richer. What can those ounces actually buy? A bigger number on the screen & greater purchasing power are not the same thing. 🦀Crustacean Nation: If confidence in paper money cracked, would silver’s smaller denominations become an advantage, or would gold remain the first choice? 👉Sound off below! *Not financial advice. 🏦Russia Boosts Its Gold & Currency Purchase Program Fivefold… How Much Is Actually Gold?🥇 👉Russia’s Finance Ministry has earmarked 279.42 billion rubles for foreign currency & gold purchases from October 7 through November 6. 👉The daily purchase budget jumped from 2.5 billion to 12.7 billion rubles. That’s just over FIVE TIMES the previous pace. 🔥What’s driving it? Russia’s budget rule directs excess oil-&-gas revenue into reserve assets. This round reflects expected October revenue, adjusted for September’s results. 🥇Here’s the detail stackers should know: that money covers foreign currency & gold. The announcement doesn’t tell us how much is going into bullion or how many ounces will be purchased. 👉So yes, the combined program got much bigger. But “Russia is buying five times more physical gold” goes beyond what these figures establish. 👉For stackers, the gold allocation is the number to watch next. A larger budget creates room for more gold purchases, but the split determines how much metal demand it actually represents. 🦀Crustacean Nation: Would you rather see the headline purchase budget or the actual ounces added to reserves? 👉Sound off below! *Not financial advice. 🚨October 17 Watchouts: What was bullish, bearish or mixed? 🔴= Bearish |🟢= Bullish |🟡= Mixed |⏳= Pending 👉Weekend risk warnings... But gold & silver don’t necessarily get the same benefit! 🟡IMF meetings: Today’s IMFC chair statement warned that escalating conflicts & trade tensions could disrupt shipping routes, push energy costs higher & worsen food & energy security. 🔥For gold, those risks can strengthen safe-haven demand. But if higher energy costs keep inflation sticky & yields elevated, that can work against both metals. 🔥Silver has another concern: weaker growth & higher factory costs could weigh on its industrial-demand outlook. This warning isn’t a new measurement of silver demand. 🦀Crustacean Nation: Would higher energy costs make you favor gold over silver, or would your stacking plan stay the same? 👉Sound off below! *Not financial advice. 🚨240 Years Ago Today, Congress Ordered a Mint for Gold & Silver—Six Years later the US Mint Was Established! 🇺🇸 🪙This Day In Sound Money History: October 16 👉Three events. One thread: turning physical metal into America’s money!👇 🏛️1786 — Congress approved an ordinance for a national mint to coin gold, silver & copper! 👉The authorization came first. The US Mint we know today was established in 1792. 🟠1792 — The young US Mint purchased copper for coinage. Making money required securing the actual metal. 🥈1794 — Secretary of State Edmund Randolph sent a new silver dollar to George Washington for inspection. 👉His letter described “transmitting a dollar for your inspection.” 👉Why should stackers care? America’s early coinage story involved more than choosing denominations. It required metal, assaying & minting—the work that made a coin’s stated value & composition credible. 👉That remains relevant whenever we buy bullion: What metal is it? What does it weigh? How pure is it? 🦀Crustacean Nation: If you could own one piece of early American money, would you choose a gold eagle, a silver dollar—or a copper cent? Why? 👉Sound off below! *Not financial advice. 🚨They Were Digging Up Soil… They Found Ancient Gold & Silver! 🪙This Day In Sound Money History: October 17 👉Three different years... Buried treasure, a state mint & a president weighing in on silver money! 🥇1990: Workers digging at Wonoboyo, Indonesia, accidentally uncovered ancient gold & silver treasures, including coins. An archaeological study dated the finds to the early ninth century. 👉More than a thousand years later, the metal & craftsmanship were still there to study. That’s tangible history. 🪙1786: Massachusetts authorized its own mint for gold, silver & copper, citing a shortage of circulating money. The law required coins to follow Congress’s standards for weight, alloy & value. 👉The important distinction: authorization wasn’t production. The mint ultimately produced copper cents & half cents, not gold & silver coins. 🪙1835: Andrew Jackson & his Cabinet reviewed the design for the future Gobrecht silver dollar. Jackson liked it, but wanted Liberty’s pole a little higher! 👉Treasury authorized a trial die that same day. This was a design milestone, not the coin’s release. 🦀Crustacean Nation: When you buy an old gold or silver coin, how much extra are you willing to pay for its history beyond the metal? 👉Sound off below! *Not financial advice. 🚨JPMorgan Is Building Its Critical-Minerals Push—& Silver Is on America’s Critical List!🇺🇸 👉Wall Street is paying attention to something stackers already understand: access to physical resources matters. 🏦A new report highlights JPMorgan’s appointment of Andrew Frame to lead its critical-minerals effort, covering extraction, refining & processing. 👉The effort sits within the bank’s $1.5 TRILLION Security & Resiliency Initiative. Here’s what that number actually means: • 10-year financing & investment plan. • Covers defense, energy, manufacturing & advanced technologies—not just minerals. • Includes up to $10 billion in direct equity & venture investments across the initiative. 👉This is NOT a $1.5 trillion silver-buying announcement... But the silver connection deserves attention: silver was added to the final US critical-minerals list in 2025. Its applications include electrical circuits, batteries, solar cells & medical instruments. 🔥Why should stackers care? Silver’s story reaches beyond investment demand. It is also a material industries need to keep operating—& reliable supply is becoming a strategic priority. 👉More financing could help develop mines & processing capacity. It could also support industries that consume silver. Those forces can affect both sides of the supply-demand equation. 🏦My take: This doesn’t guarantee higher prices. But when a major bank builds a dedicated effort around securing critical minerals, it reinforces why the physical supply chain deserves our attention. 👉Announcements move quickly. Bringing new production online takes execution, infrastructure & time. 🦀Crustacean Nation: What matters more for silver’s next decade—growing industrial demand or the industry’s ability to bring new supply online? 👇Sound off below! *Not financial advice. 🚨China Wants Solid-State Batteries at Scale by 2030. Could Silver Be Part of the Next Battery Breakthrough? 🇨🇳China’s new battery-industry plan targets the initial large-scale application of all-solid-state batteries by 2030. 👉The ambition: move next-generation battery technology toward commercial use. 👉But InsideEVs highlights the challenge: making these batteries affordable & manufacturing them at scale are different hurdles from making a prototype. 🥈Here’s why stackers should watch: Samsung researchers have already demonstrated a solid-state battery design using a silver-carbon layer to help control lithium deposition & improve cycling performance. 👉That gives silver a documented role in this technology—not just a speculative connection. ⚖️But “solid-state” describes a category of batteries, not one universal recipe. China’s roadmap does NOT establish that its batteries will use Samsung’s silver-carbon approach. 👉My take: If silver-containing designs win meaningful commercial adoption, batteries could create another source of silver demand. The questions are WHICH designs succeed, HOW MUCH silver they use & HOW MANY batteries get built. 👉A national target is worth watching. Actual production & material requirements will tell the bigger story. 🦀Crustacean Nation: Could batteries become a major new silver-demand driver—or will cost favor other designs? 👇Sound off below! *Not financial advice. 🚨Inflation Rose & Paychecks Lost Ground As Gold & Silver Got Hit! Here’s What Yesterday’s Watchouts Delivered! 📅Wednesday, October 14, 2026 🔴Bearish |🟡Mixed |🟢Bullish 👉Ratings reflect my interpretation of the near-term implications for metals. 🔴1. US CPI — Bearish for Gold & Silver: 📊September inflation: Expected → Actual • Headline monthly: +0.6% → +0.6% ✅ In line • Headline annual: +3.6% → +3.7% 🔥 Hotter • Core monthly: +0.2% → +0.3% 🔥 Hotter • Core annual: +2.5% → +2.6% 🔥 Hotter ⛽Gasoline jumped 9.1%, accounting for over half the monthly headline increase—but shelter also rose 0.4%. This wasn’t exclusively an energy story. 👉The market response mattered: the dollar & Treasury yields rose, rate-hike bets increased, & both metals fell. Inflation can strengthen the long-term case for owning metal while tighter-policy expectations hurt prices immediately. 🟡2. Real Earnings — Mixed for Gold & Silver: Inflation-adjusted average hourly earnings fell 0.5% monthly & 0.7% annually. Average hourly pay rose just 0.1% during September, falling behind rising prices. 👉That reinforces stackers’ concern about purchasing power. But squeezed household budgets can weaken spending & leave less money for bullion purchases. It isn’t automatically bullish—especially for silver’s demand outlook. 🟡3. Fed Beige Book — Mixed, With a Bearish Inflation Tilt: Nine districts reported growth & three reported no significant change. Manufacturing showed pockets of strength, while most districts reported little or no change in consumer spending. 🔥Four districts reported accelerating price increases, & higher oil prices appeared throughout the district reports. 👉Manufacturing resilience offers some support for silver’s industrial backdrop. Persistent price pressure complicates hopes for easier monetary policy. The Beige Book is business commentary—not a rate decision. 🏦My take: Yesterday’s dominant near-term signal was bearish. Purchasing-power concerns remained real, but the stronger dollar & higher-rate expectations took priority. 🦀Crustacean Nation: Did yesterday’s selloff change your stacking plan—or just the price you’re willing to pay? 👇Sound off below! *Not financial advice. 🚨Trump Wants Her Out... But Courts Kept Her at the Fed! Now Lisa Cook Faces a White House Hearing!🚨 🏦Lisa Cook helps make decisions about US interest rates. Now she faces a renewed effort to remove her from the Federal Reserve. 🔎The allegations concern mortgage paperwork from before she joined the Fed. Cook denies wrongdoing, & no criminal charges have been filed. ⚖️Trump first attempted to fire her in August 2025. Courts blocked her removal, & the Supreme Court allowed her to remain while litigation continued. That did not decide whether she committed mortgage fraud. 👉Now the administration is pursuing a new process: • An October 7 memorandum established a three-person committee. • A closed, transcribed White House hearing is scheduled for November 5. • The committee will recommend whether there is legally sufficient cause to remove her. ⏰But the schedule is disputed: Cook’s lawyer says she has official meetings in Europe and cannot attend until after the December 8–9 Fed meeting. He also challenges the panel’s impartiality. That does NOT mean a postponement has been confirmed. 🥇🥈Why should stackers care? Fed governors help shape interest rates & the purchasing power of your dollars. Their honesty & judgment deserve serious scrutiny. 👉My take: If true, I believe the allegations against Cook warrant removal. Fed independence should protect monetary-policy decisions—not shield officials from accountability. The removal process needs to establish the facts & meet the legal standard. Fed officials deserve accountability. 🦀Crustacean Nation: What evidence should justify removing a Fed governor—and how do we enforce accountability without turning interest-rate decisions into political orders? 👇Sound off below! *Not financial advice. 🚨Silver Fell Roughly 6%—But SLV Added Shares. What Was Happening Beneath the Selloff?🚨 🥈Silver watchers flagged an important detail: 📊SLV Silver ETF shares outstanding: • October 13: 546,800,000 • October 14: 547,250,000 🔥Net increase: 450,000 shares—representing roughly 406,000 ounces of silver backing! 👉Macro Liquidity (@Macrobysunil) put it this way: 🗨️“Price was crushed. SLV demand was not.” 👉He suggests positioning, short covering & liquidity management may explain part of the selloff. 👉Bob Coleman (@profitsplusid) highlighted the same increase: 🗨️“Appears buyers are coming to the silver market and not running from it.” 👉Here’s why stackers should care: A falling price doesn’t automatically mean every investor is abandoning silver. SLV experienced net share creation while the metal sold off. ⚖️Keep the scale in perspective: That increase was about 0.08% of outstanding shares. It shows this trust expanded—not that selling disappeared elsewhere. 👉And these figures alone don’t prove anyone deliberately engineered the crash. Investors selling, others buying the dip, & market makers managing exposure can all happen together. 🥈My take: Coleman’s observation is supported by the share data. Sunil’s explanation is an interesting hypothesis—but establishing who drove the move, & why, requires more evidence. 🔎Could short covering, leveraged liquidations & ETF creation activity have contributed to the move, as Sunil suggests? Possibly—but daily share totals cannot establish the sequence, participants or intent. 👉His thought process: Drive the price lower -> flush leveraged longs -> create liquidity -> cover shorts at better prices -> then satisfy persistent ETF demand through new share creation... 👉The divergence is worth watching. Does SLV keep expanding through the pullback—or do redemptions follow? 🦀Crustacean Nation: Did YOU add physical silver during the selloff—& what would convince you buyers are absorbing the selling? 👇Sound off below! *Not financial advice.
