the way that people have gotten so comfortable conflating the Jewish faith with just the most heinous actions and politics of an imperialist genocidal state is beyond alarming. just blatant antisemitism in an official government statement. wild.

chappell roan was a lotta people's new favorite parasocial cuddly toy and then she went "hey I'm a person give me some space and also here are my extremely reasonable political opinions" and some of the Can't Make a Phone Call Squad are really struggling with that

My uncle constantly drives while drunk. We're gravely concerned. Here's our plan: - We're giving him a faster, safer car to drink drive in - A $200 Liquorland voucher helps us monitor his alcohol levels - We're asking my uncle to investigate claims that he drink drives too much

i love when companies boast profits just as a huge portion of their staff vote in favour of protected industrial action due to disputes around pay/job security. its funny to me because it makes it super obvious as to how they managed to get that big number (underpaying workers)

If only there were something we could do other than be gravely concerned.
Australia is gravely concerned about escalation in the Middle East. Further hostilities put civilians at risk. The security situation in Lebanon could rapidly deteriorate. Australians in Lebanon should leave immediately while commercial flights are available.

Former CIA Director Leon Panetta calls Israel's explosive pager operation "terrorism" in an interview with CBS today: "I don't think there's any question it's a form of terrorism." "When you have terror going into the supply chain, it makes people ask the question: what the hell is next?" "The forces of war are largely in control right now of what's going on."
