Because Trump wants the U.S. to use dumb U.S. AI models which are also incredibly expensive and guardrailed. This is sure to keep the U.S. government stuck where it loves to be: Incompetent, bureaucratic and way over budget.
🚨 UPDATE: US DHS orders DeepSeek products removed from civilian agencies, citing risks of sensitive data reaching China, per Reuters.

Chinese export controls now extend beyond refined critical metals to specialized industrial equipment, including tunnel boring machines (TBMs). TBMs are the most common way of building underground road and rail infrastructure... and they are also increasingly used in mining. TBMs have been used in underground mine development at several copper, coal and platinum-group-metal operations in the US, Australia, and South America. Over the past 20 years, Chinese-produced TBMs have grown from ZERO to 60-70% of the global market share, producing approximately 250-300 TBMs per year... approximately half of which are exported. So, we suspect that this news will cause a PANIC in the global TBM market. We plan to use a TBM at our Santa Cruz copper project in Arizona to develop mine access from the surface. Fortunately for us, the US has its own TBM manufacturer, @Robbins_Co, and earlier this year we purchased a 9.3-metre diameter Robbins TBM for Santa Cruz. So this news won't disrupt our development plans at @ivanhoeelectric... others may not be as fortunate. reuters.com/world/asia-pacif…

This is all true. This former GOP state legislator closely aligned with DeSantis and Randy Fine -- Mike Caruso -- was arrested in August on charges of sexually abusing multiple young kids in his family, including his grandson and a niece. He had previously advocated the death penalty for pedophiles. This picture is when Caruso, Randy Fine and DeSantis went to Israel in 2023 to sign a "hate speech" law that restricted the free speech rights of Floridians on behalf of Israel. They signed it in Israel.
The man standing next to Randy Fine and Ron DeSantis, in Israel, is Mike Caruso, currently on trial for forcing his penis into his 3 year old grandson’s mouth and peeing in it. Randy Fine’s political committee donated to him.

China just restricted the machines America uses to build tunnels, mines, and drones. Beijing already controls large parts of the global market for this equipment. The new rules, starting next month, turn that dominance into a tool that can delay or deny what US projects still need. First the materials. Then the magnets. Now the machines themselves. The leverage keeps expanding.

I completely reject war, BUT I have to tell you this... What we are seeing now is a carefully orchestrated psychological operation to give the American public a belief that they have 'some sort of control' over their inflation, gas and diesel prices as if their votes matter... Listen, the war in the Middle East is an Existential War for Iran, the America hegemony in the region, the US dollar reserve currency status and more critically than all of that, American power projection and American naval supremacy at sea which actually makes America a TRUE global super power. Iran uncheck by these "American Institution" will literally mean Iran takes the cake from America for the next 100 years and America returns to becoming a regional Superpower like Russia, and it means China enters a new phase of power we haven to yet experienced in our collective history. China will rise to being called "Supreme Global Power" above USA and Russia. Do you really believe these "American Institutions" are ready to walk away from the Middle East to give Iran (and therefore, China) that torch? No way. People have amnesia when it comes to the American mid-term elections AS IF it matters whether it is democrats or republics in power and as if the elections will impact or change the direction of the WAR with Iran. They will NOT, the war continues regardless of who is in charge NOT because I say so, but because STRUCTURALLY, nothing has change and NOTHING will change unless Iran is subjugated, and partitioned. It is a Structural war, which in my view, it is beyond a strategic war, it is far more important than that too. Both parties are bought and sold by the same lobby groups you already know about. Do not kid yourself. Be a realist without personal biases and you will come to the same conclusion as me. Signal, not noise!

🚨 BREAKING: BOJ INSIDER YUTO JUST SAID SOMETHING ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING ABOUT EUROPE. “The decline of Europe is not a failure of the plan. It is the plan.” Let that sink in. The deindustrialization, the debt spiral, the destruction of purchasing power, the relentless capital flight. What if these aren’t isolated policy failures, but the prerequisites for an entirely new financial order? History teaches us that the greatest monetary transformations rarely happen during prosperity. They happen when populations become desperate enough to accept what they would otherwise reject. The most frightening possibility isn’t that Europe’s leaders have lost control. It’s that someone, somewhere, believes everything is proceeding exactly as intended. And Europe may only be the beginning. 👁️

The AI bubble is circular financed and driven entirely by private credit + baby boomer retirement savings. There is nothing profitable about it and when it fails, there will be nothing of value because the GPUs are obsolete and power hungry after 3 years. It isn't the future, it's the greatest con ever performed on the American people and the government is part of it.

France Owes $134K Per Person. China Owes $1.7K. Guess Which One the Media Says Is About to Collapse? Western Think Tanks: “China Debt Crisis!” Meanwhile, France and Italy Are Drowning in Debt and Nobody Cares. IMF Lectures Poor Countries on Debt. Stays Quiet While France and Italy Borrow Like There’s No Tomorrow. Let’s talk about the “Coming Collapse of China” that Western media and think tanks have been hyping since I was a kid—while France and Italy sit there looking like a couple of guys who maxed out every credit card in Europe and nobody’s calling the cops. Check the numbers. External debt means the money a country (government, banks, companies, even regular people) owes to folks outside the country. Divide by population and France is sitting at around $134,000 per person. Germany about $98,000. The US around $88,000. Italy $55,462. China? Roughly $1,700. That’s not a typo. China’s total external debt is a couple trillion dollars for 1.4 billion people. France’s is nearly ten trillion for sixty-something million. One French person is carrying about as much external debt on their head as a whole Chinese village. Yet open any Western paper or turn on the cable news and it’s wall-to-wall “China’s debt is unsustainable, the property sector is a house of cards, collapse is coming any day now.” They’ve been saying that since the 1990s. Meanwhile, France has high taxes that can take more than half your income if you make decent money, so a bunch of French people move to places like Hong Kong where the tax rate tops out at 17%. Italy’s public debt is over 140% of GDP—that’s the government’s own borrowing compared to the size of the economy—and the place has been limping along with weak growth for years. Where are the daily think-tank reports titled “The Imminent Collapse of France”? Where’s the Gordon Chang of Europe predicting Italian streets will run with unpaid debt? The reason is simple. China is the rising power that doesn’t take orders from Washington or Brussels. Europe is the club. When your own team is deep in debt, you call it “sophisticated financial systems,” “deep capital markets,” and “private sector liabilities that are fine because the banks know what they’re doing.” When the other guy has a fraction of that and still builds high-speed rail and factories, suddenly it’s a ticking time bomb. The media and the think tanks aren’t neutral observers. They’re defending the home team’s story. And the IMF? That’s the biggest joke of all. The IMF loves to lecture developing countries. Country has debt around 60% of GDP or so and needs a loan? Out come the conditions: cut spending, raise taxes, privatize this, open that market. They’ve done it for decades across Africa, Latin America, and Asia. But France and Italy? Advanced economies with way higher numbers in key measures, and the IMF is mostly quiet or talks in soft tones about “fiscal consolidation over the medium term.” They don’t send the same shock troops. Why? Because the IMF is basically run by the rich countries. It was set up after World War II by the winners, and it still protects the system that benefits them. Developing countries with lower overall debt loads get the harsh medicine. The countries with sky-high external debt per person and the power to print the world’s reserve currency or sit inside the euro get the benefit of the doubt. It’s not analysis. It’s hierarchy. China’s low external debt isn’t magic. It comes from capital controls, a high savings rate, and financing a lot of development at home instead of borrowing endless money from abroad. That has trade-offs, sure. But it also means China isn’t one foreign creditor panic away from a balance-of-payments crisis the way some highly open economies can be. Europe, for all its wealth, has built a system where private banks and corporations borrow heavily across borders, and the public side piles on too. Growth is sluggish in much of the continent. Demographics are rough. Yet the narrative stays “China is the fragile one.” This double standard has been running for a long time. In the 19th century the West talked about civilizing the East while running the opium trade. Now they talk about debt sustainability and rules-based order while their own numbers look worse on the external-debt-per-person scoreboard. The “Coming Collapse of China” story keeps getting recycled because it sells papers, justifies policy, and reassures people that the current order is still safe. France and Italy don’t get the same treatment because admitting the problem would mean admitting that parts of the West have their own structural issues—high debt, slow growth, high taxes driving talent out—and that China isn’t the only place that has to figure this stuff out. So next time you hear another expert say China’s debt will bring it down, ask them why the French per-person external debt figure doesn’t trigger the same alarm. The answer tells you more about the storytellers than about the numbers.
Wow 😮. Hong Kong’s sizable French Expats community makes sense…

Here is a question: Why are Ukrainian Telegram channels posting "crisis actor" images? Sure, some are real and others are generative depending on the AI you ask. Isn't it weird Ukrainian channels would circulate these?
