So Anne Carson wins the Nobel. And what could be a better time than now to share her intimate and timeless teardrop of a poem.
O Small Sad Ecstasy of Love.
I found a small window time to practice whilst in London. Grateful that such a place exists at the Schott music store. I learned a little bit about Percy Grainger, moved my fingers a bit & then perused the music shelvesโended up purchasing a few scores! I miss music stores!!
First time in Royal Festival Hall.
First time listening to the Britten War Requiem.

According to his research, itโs the lowest number of Britten productions/performances for at least 25 yearsโeven w/the 50th anniversary of his death (December). No UK stagings at all? ๐ค He even included the ๐บ๐ธ & ๐ฆ๐บ

Antonino will be so missed at @operamrhein where he was Principal Guest Conductor for over 10 years. Iโve done almost 15 operas with the great Maestro.
I will miss the wonderful man, musician, and conductor.
RIP dear friend ๐๏ธ
My month in Brainerd, Minnesota is slowly coming to a close. Carmen with the Lakes Area Music Festival opens this weekend.

You could literally land a plane by yourself after your instructor jumps to his death mid flight and theyโd still use a picture of a man
Iโve lost track of how many performances of Tosca I have played (celesta and cannons) but I never get tired of this opera. The music is just so good.
Also, the celesta plays 85 notes the entire evening. #funfact
