This reads to me like a warning against Islamic devotion for anybody who loves life or believes in the power of love. And it happened in Saudi Arabia, so it can't even be attributed to false versions of the religion.
#SaudiArabia #BangladeshiCouple

This is a lot of fun to see. Try fruit next (oranges? Bananas?)
Last Halloween my friend and I gave kids the option of king-sized candy or homegrown potatoes and the results were...surprising

Meanwhile, in America, people were upset that an Islamic terrorist who murdered 13 people and injured 32 others might have his execution broadcast.
Replying to @fatimazahiid
Fatima, every place, every country has some boundaries which you're not supposed to trespass. Haram isn't just "any" place, Muslims consider it the most sacred place and you're deliberately choosing it for your horny outlet? And then expect mercy from their govt for trespassing?

She made it! She couldn’t get a visa to Spain, but this warrior is now with us in Poland. She survived an acid attack in Afghanistan. I invited her to join me and the brave Iranian women who were blinded by the Islamic Republic. We will stand together on stage to send a clear message: If the Taliban and the Islamic Republic are united in their war against women, then the women of Afghanistan and Iran are united in our fight for freedom.

Why are the New York Times, CNN, and BBC working overtime to make sure not a single Palestinian flag makes it into their photo coverage of the French protests?

I don't get people like Joe Rogan who thinks Iran wasn't a real problem. You think a regime like this with a traditional and nuclear arsenal would be good for the US?

I see zero women getting beaten up in this video. They tried to close her unbuttoned shirt, she fought it, they summoned security while holding her down, she got removed by security.
Imagine MAGA being the “Party That Protects Women”… Then beats the shit out of a woman, At a Trump rally on National Television… While the President encourages the beating, While making fun of the woman’s weight… And MAGA cheers “USA…USA…” How The Fuck Did We Get Here.

If somebody did this to me and only got ONE DAY in jail, I would be so pissed. Voters recalled the DA who did this and other insanely lenient plea deals.
A Berkeley chemical engineer who suffered years of unexplained illness discovered through a spy camera from Amazon that her coworker, David Xu, was poisoning her food and water with cadmium, a toxic heavy metal for nearly 18 months between 2017 and 2019. The victim experienced significant health problems and at times required emergency care at a hospital. Newly released video shows Xu appearing to put a substance in her water bottle in 2019. Xu was arrested that year and charged with attempted murder and two counts of poisoning, offenses that could have sent him to prison for life. But under a plea deal, the attempted murder charge and one poisoning count were dropped. Xu pleaded no contest to one felony poisoning charge and received two years of probation, with credit for one day served. He completed probation in March and is now seeking to have his felony conviction dismissed.

Wow, it's really cool he had that snack at the end of prepared or preserved food, and the clothing he was wearing to survive the building of the shelter. It's so funny how all the survivalist types forget especially about clothing, which is the actual first step.
It's important that we learn at least how to do the first step: we never know when we actually need it.

My entire timeline is full of people who are not Jewish and not from Israel but proudly announcing that they are Zionists and that they stand with the Jewish people and the State of Israel. I can’t explain in words how heartwarming it is to see this. God bless all of you. 🇮🇱❤️🙏
The “I’m not Jewish, but I’m a Zionist” trend is one of the most moving things I’ve seen on this platform.

In the airport in Iceland they have one where you scan a credit card before you open the door and then it detects what you remove and you get charged for whatever you took out of it before closing the door. Probably a simplified version of this would work for a farm stand. Credit card/Venmo validation to open the door, keep it on file, and based on camera evidence, charge them for what they took without paying, if they don't. I think even just having to scan a credit card to open the farmstand door, with the knowledge it'll be kept on file to charge for things not payed for would deter most or all attempts at theft. It works for hotels! (Idea for a farm stand vending machine was not mine, came from somebody else in the comments).
🚨 This guy walked into a Cabot, Arkansas farmstand yesterday and helped himself to an armful of fresh baked goods… without paying a single dollar. Root & Rise is a small, family-run honor-system farmstand owned by Amber and Brett. They bake slow-rise sourdough loaves, brownies, pies, cinnamon rolls, bagels, and other from-scratch treats. Yesterday this man loaded up and walked off with a huge armful of their work. Honor system does not mean free. When someone does this, it doesn’t just hit Amber and Brett—it hits the whole family’s hard work, the early mornings, the effort, the ingredients, and the trust that lets small farmstands like this even exist. These hits add up fast for small businesses just trying to make a living. 😞 If you recognize him or know anything, Amber and Brett would appreciate the help. Support the local people who actually bake and stock these stands. 💪 #TheHopeFiles #CabotAR

Lots of bad ideas in the responses to this. Here's some research that helps see it for what it is: Within an academic setting, they've divided students in a MOOC into being taught by a female professor and a male professor. At different points in the term, they switched the accounts they used. Regardless of whether the male or the female teacher was running the female account, students complained more about the female account and rated her teaching as worse. Similar results from research on FPS MMO video games (as soon as the "female player" got better than the male player, the male player started using more insults against "her" and helping "her" less, but "male" players got more compliments and help the better they got). And, more similar results from research where they looked at employment and pay for female freelance programmers, who got better pay and more employment than men when their accounts were anonymous but less when not anonymous. In summary, people treat competent/intelligent people differently depending on whether they believe them to be male or female (not any of the other ideas that try to justify this finding).
Women with high cognitive ability face "detrimental interpersonal ramifications" at work Men do not. The theory is that smarter women violate perceived social role expectations leading them to face backlash that men do not receive psycnet.apa.org/doiLanding?d…

They only show you how cats are treated in 'Palestine', because if you learn how they treat dogs even the most brainwashed supporter will recoil with hatred.

Only on Twitter (an old media editor responding to a new media-poster's implicit claims about new media to point out old media did the job ... on new media, and I didn't even know it until he said this).
It *is* right-wing. I ran its op-ed pages for most of the first Trump admin.

Women should respect themselves more. The behavior described in order to get sex aligns with a Geneva Convention description of torture. Saying no, consent to sex obtained using torture is not rape means that women doesn't respect herself the way the law respects a terrorist's rights to a fair trial.

It's hard for me to take "pro life" conservatives seriously as long as they deny that financial considerations are legitimately top of mind when families or women decide whether to have more children (or, less commonly, their first child). youtube.com/shorts/EUW1Ehba1…

I should say more broadly the logistics of having more kids. Primary example: laundry. The more kids, the more laundry, the more time spent on laundry. The only aisle in a local dollar store that has locks on it is the laundry detergent aisle. Who is doing the extra laundry? Who is paying for it? Women who already have one child know what they're doing when they say "no more kids, I don't have that kind of money or time".

And equally, I think the right undermines their moral highground when they support the death penalty in most (nearly all) cases.
Be glad that the Left opposes the death penalty -- you will not like the Left that embraces it

Mamdani was the same way. I didn't even fall for the "free pizza" thing in middle school class president elections. I wondered how they were going to pull off free pizza? Why are these people so naive?
What’s terrifying about this clip isn’t their ideals…these sweet gals’ hearts are certainly in the right place. What’s terrifying is they have the civic, political, and economic literacy of a 9 year old. When a charlatan like Abdul comes along with the Jr High class president schtick of “no more homework and the vending machines are all free!”, they fall for it. I don’t know how you get to that age with ZERO understanding of supply chains, manufacturing, labor costs…but a lot of folks think that medicine and MRIs and hospitals just materialize out of thin air like unicorn farts. They’ve never built anything in their lives, so they have no concept of how things function…things are just…there. They think milk comes from the store. They think rich people don’t pay taxes, even though the top 1% fund 40% of government with their taxes already, and yet 40% of all Americans contribute ZERO federal income tax at all. These people don’t understand that you could tax the wealthy at 100% and it would only fund the government for 120 days. Then you’re screwed. Too many Americans simply have zero understanding of how anything works, and even though they’re living in the easiest times in human history, they think things are “terrible out there”. These commie scammers roll through and promise them things that sound great, but aren’t possible in reality, and have devastating consequences if tried…but because they don’t know anything, they fall for it. Sadly, so many of our politicians and their advisors are such atrocious communicators, there’s like zero countervailing narrative to push back on the commie gobbledygook, so we are gonna have to learn the hard way. Guys…we just had a sample of socialism: Covid. We all got universal basic income, and it ended up tripling our costs and they’ll never go down. Ever. That one brief little experiment in command and control government will haunt us the rest of our lives. Bleak stuff, man.
