Looking forward to @andyburnham delivering on @UKLabour’s 2024 manifesto commitment on leasehold.
Rip-off Britain mustn’t be allowed to carry on like this. Leasehold is a racket that restricts people’s rights in ways that are indefensible in the 21st century.
Action to end it would give millions breathing space on the cost of living by bringing down rip-off service charges, at precious little cost to the taxpayer. It would also show our Labour values in action by ending a terrible legacy of feudalism, while proving that this government is tackling the big issues politics has neglected for far too long.
So what if we wind up a few offshore shell companies? Voters (the hard working many) will back us all the way. Putting money back into people’s pockets is good for the real economy. Every penny of what’s saved will be put back into the local economy. Let’s do this @AngelaRayner, @mtpennycook 🌹

@AmericanExpress @AskAmexUK just told me they can't help because "fraud department closes at 6pm".
So criminals get 24/7 access to commit fraud but victims have to wait for business hours?

La realtà bussa a tutte le porte, incluse quelle dei clown: un consiglio comunale guidato da esponenti di Reform UK di Nigel Farage, si appresta a votare il raddoppio della council tax per le seconde case, oltre ad aumentarla per chi tiene immobili sfitti per un anno anziché gli attuali due.

E buon anno a chi da oggi subisce un aumento delle addizionali Irpef locali e non è un forfettario ma uno schiavo del sostituto d'imposta, soprattutto i kulaki. Auguri di altro tipo ai politici che si riempiono la bocca con l'espressione "ceto medio". Buon anno, parassiti.
Solo una aggiunta su questo, che credo sia significativa. Le pensioni private, fino a ieri escluse dal calcolo per eredità, verranno ora incluse nel totale. Di fatto tirando una altra rete da strascico per prendere il 40% da gente che muore con qualche soldo da lasciare.
