A woman in Fairbanks Alaska presented with a mysterious grey lesion on her left upper arm, along with shoulder pain, fatigue, and a fever. On 20 Sept it was confirmed that she has the 2nd-ever known case of a new virus, "#Alaskapox," a member of the same genus as smallpox.
