Very insightful summary about the new supported decision-making bill in Ohio. This is consistent with Article 12 of the CRPD. The risks (such as exploitation) should be taken seriously and development of safeguards is not insurmountable.
For adults with developmental #disabilities who need help navigating major decisions, the legal options present a stark choice: retain full control or #guardianship. But some states offer a middle ground. disabilityscoop.com/2026/09/…

Countless academics every year get caught plagiarising parts of their work and it almost never makes it beyond the University press. The reason why a section of the British media chose to obsess with his particular case, continuing to hound him even after he resigned is plainly obvious.

Very helpful tips indeed. Repetitive behaviour may remind loved ones that the reality that the person living with dementia is indeed living with cognitive changes and all the challenges that go with such changes. Can be very emotional for everyone.
People living with dementia may carry out the same activity or say the same thing over and over. Repetition may be because of memory loss.
There are some things we can try when supporting someone with dementia who is showing repetitive behaviour: spkl.io/60187zlsG
