If you don't let people experience the consequences of their actions towards you, you will remain a safe place for their worst behavior.

There's a specific silence after launch.
Not the silence of people not seeing you.
The silence of people who saw you… and decided not to say anything.
That silence is data.
Most founders treat it like weather.
The difference between a community that compounds and one that quietly empties is what you built between their first action and their second.
First action is join. Second action is proof they stayed.
Most projects never build that window deliberately.
They just hope the next post fills it.
It doesn't.

Founders rarely make the decision they think they’re making.
They think they’re deciding:
“Should we change the strategy?”
“Should we kill this feature?”
“Should we change the positioning?”
“Should we stop spending here?”
But sometimes the real decision is…
“Am I willing to admit that what I believed before might have been wrong?”
That’s a different decision.
Because once you’ve spent months building something, talked about it publicly, convinced your team, and defended it to other people…
changing direction doesn’t just feel like changing direction.
It can feel like admitting defeat.
So you ask for more data.
Another test.
Another month.
Another campaign.
Another explanation for why the signal isn’t there yet.
Not because you’re irrational.
Because the cost of changing your mind is no longer just financial.
It’s psychological.
That’s why I don’t think you can properly diagnose a founder’s decision by looking only at the decision itself.
Sometimes you have to ask…
“What would changing this force them to admit?”
That’s where the real decision usually starts.

National service should not require unescorted travel through known abduction corridors.
Either secure deployed corp member or mandate democratic deployment process, PERIOD!!!
Replying to @_KolandFX
I just listened to a recorded call involving the family of a corps member who was kidnapped while travelling from Ibadan to Akwa Ibom. The kidnappers were demanding ₦50 million for his release.
Hearing his voice and the fear in it genuinely broke me. 💔

I really pity those still supporting this wrecked administration. I just hope you realize how serious things have become before it happens to you or someone in your family.

You paid the KOL.
They brought attention.
People clicked.
And now you’re sitting there wondering…
“why the hell aren’t they using my product?”
Here’s what you’re missing…
You didn’t buy their trust.
You borrowed it!
The KOL already has a relationship with that audience.
That’s why they listened.
That’s why they clicked.
But a click isn’t conviction.
The moment they land, your product has to earn the next step.
Most marketing reports stop at the click.
That’s exactly where the interesting part starts…

A project publishes a live homepage dashboard, a public rewards ledger, and runs an active X account.
Ask any of the three how much it has paid out.
You get three different numbers.
Not from critics. From itself.
Its own homepage dashboard: $604,000 paid, all-time.
The same dashboard, same page: $503,000 paid in the last 30 days.
Read that twice.
Almost the entire all-time total sits inside one month.
That is the break.
Its X account, one week earlier: $723,240 all-time.
Its rewards ledger, six days after that: $757,857.68.
Those two can move together if new rewards hit between the posts. The dashboard cannot.
On the day we read it, all-time on the homepage was lower than a week-old tweet and lower than the ledger… and nearly equal to its own 30-day line.
User counts do not fare better.
Homepage: 3,808 accounts.
The founder, separately: “cleared 4,200 traders.”
An older channel: “5,000+ onboarded.”
Every number was true to whoever published it. No one number is treated as the one to believe.
The same week these totals disagreed, the founder posted that it was the biggest revenue week for the project, halfway through the week.
The brand account kept running the $1,000,000 Pro campaign.
If you have ever put a different number in a deck than what is live on your own site… this is the same mechanism, earlier in its life. You have not grown fast enough yet for someone to line the receipts up.
The instinct when growth is loud is to announce louder.
That is backwards.
Every new announcement is one more number that has to agree with the others.
Most projects do not find out it does not until an outsider does the math.
