I’m struggling to understand the mindset of the hospitality & tourism industry in rocky & surrounds. We are trying to spend our money locally, but most attractions and restaurants appear to be closed for the break! I won’t be coming back to this part of Queensland any time soon.
Very poor form @Qantas I’ve just been advised that QF711 (which is late leaving Cairns) will be making a stop in Mackay so we can drop off a Qantas Enginner, adding an hour to the flight!! Don’t mind every one on the plane who have appointments to keep in Brisbane.
Today I did what has been asked of us (visit intrastate) in Mission Beach for a day trip.Nearly all the restaurants and many shops shut.Spoke to several shop owners who said it really wasn’t worth opening. Very few people about the town. The whole thing is quite sad for the area.
Poor form @auspost. After providing no ability to talk to a real person, you send me a generic excuse to my query claiming you can’t cope with the unprecedented demand. Here’s a tip. Hire more staff! I know there are many people nowadays who would love the opportunity to help out!
Why is it that @auspost does not have a contact number on their website? Why must we be forced to use their robochat, when a chat with a real person would only take 2 minutes? I know I won’t be using Australia Post to ship parcels again!
