Some of the most widely used ad libraries in mobile apps are sharing your location data without extra consent or any real warning. This new EFF report found this is the default behavior for several major players, not an edge case.
The data doesn't stay put either. It's turned up in ICE investigations, union-organizer tracking, and outed a private citizen's identity.
The tools you don't make are full of decisions you don’t make.

Another Thursday means another enlightening Zoom chat with our homemade app maker community!
Today we're highlighting Mona's Box Inventory App! She needed to organize her life - so she made an app that makes storage and moving as easy as taking a picture of what’s in a box and slapping a printed QR code on it. 📦📋📲
AI parses the box’s contents (which you can then edit, of course) and makes an inventory list for you paired with a QR code. Can you actually imagine? Finding the things you need when you need them!?
