FYI: With the elimination of third party clients, I’m no longer reading Twitter. You can find me at platkus at mastodon.social.
I may still cross-post here sometimes. But that’s less likely as this place is now broken and most people have left. Queue the This Is Fine meme
New Pixel Fold phone announced. I still don’t understand who foldable phones are for. Who are these people that are saying “I want a phone so large I can’t use it with a single hand for anything” and “I want it to be twice as thick sometimes” 🤷♂️
Experiencing an annoying bug in iOS 16.3. The spoken voice is now Samantha for CarPlay and AirPods announcements. Siri is still using its voice setting. I’ve changed the voice away from Samantha in all of the places in Settings I could find with no luck.
Anyone else having this?
Welcome to 2023!
I’ve made the jump to Mastodon not because I don’t like Twitter, but because many of the people I follow have gone there.
I’m currently still reading Twitter and will now cross post to both places in 2023.
Here’s to a great new year!

Holy hell what a final 4-5 minutes from Purdue tonight. Showed us all something tonight! Wow!
For most of the night it felt like this was a game they weren’t quite ready to win that they’d be more suited to pick off 2 months from now, but maaaaaan they closed strong. #BoilerUp

I recall this debate on ATP over the summer and I enjoyed it quite a bit, but never wavered in my now decades-long (!) style of uncuddled else’s.
To me, my little joke tweet exemplifies why I prefer this style: the standalone `}` line provides a visual divider between blocks.
All my Ventura Login Items Background tasks looked good except for this one that I had to Google. Pacifist! Ah, OK.
Glad there is a way to change this new behavior back to the old behavior.

I just installed the Release Candidate build of macOS Ventura and Apple has fixed Stage Manger’s behavior! It now works as you’d expect and doesn’t screw with the position of your windows any more! It’s actually useful now!
It’s basically Spaces inside Spaces: which is awesome!
All for this!!!

Apple Watch users: I have some very nice long streaks going on my Activity Rings.
Problem: I’m traveling to Australia soon. I board a plane in LA on a Friday and land in Sydney on Sunday. I won’t exist on Saturday.
What will happen to my Activity Rings?

Hello @michellebranch
I’m loving the new album. There’s echos of your excellent vocals from previous works in a great new original modern sounding collection.
Bravo! 👌
