the feeling that anything's possible is something you can't buy--and you'll never feel it until you're unburdened.

One million percent this--Slow Horses is the best thing on Apple TV
Apple TV is home to “Severance” and “Ted Lasso.” But our critic thinks this underrated program is the streaming site’s best offering by a mile. newyorker.com/culture/on-tel…

The subtext of the Vivek ad - if you are abused as a kid, we will make sure it haunts you for the rest of your life and disqualifies you from a life of public service - is so bleak. There are already too many reasons good people don't run for office, and this will make it worse.

Banks flagged $1.5 billion in suspicious Epstein transactions. Regulators never investigated them. A new bill from Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Rep. Robert Garcia would force them to. @thisiscamaron has the details in Below the Beltway: bit.ly/489IsKd

No one should profit off backroom deals and insider trading while they’re supposed to be serving the public. It’s time to ban congressional stock trading and stop the corruption.

Between scam PACs and the abusive text and email practices of legitimate PACs we’re probably honestly lucky our financial disadvantage isn’t worse. We have so much repair work to do before 2028.
I see these articles about party committees and groups like HMP saying " if only we had another $15m we'd win unthinkable races..." Then I think about the ScamPACs siphoning millions from campaigns. All to give paltry percentages of it away in $5,000 donations. Such a shame.

What does it say about me that the idea of watching a long film about deception during an era that feels like a big con makes my stomach turn?
