I have been a proud member of the Ukrainian scouting for over 20 years (twenty? when did this happen?), and I believe joining scouting was one of the greatest decisions of my life.

Representatives of the national scout organization of Ukraine @plast handed over the Bethlehem flame of peace to the head of the @DI_Ukraine, Major General Kyrylo Budanov.
He signed the flag of #Ukraine for them, which they will raise in their camps.

He always had answers to everything. Super adventurous, very bright, ready to help, teach & train. Now he's gone. my @plast friend from the youthful times Taras Havrylyshyn "TT" died defending Ukraine from russian evil. Unforgivable & heartbreaking. We'll always remember💔

Ukrainians were on the frontlines of #WWII from the very beginning till the final victory
For many decades we had hoped there will never be another war in our country
Until Russia launched armed aggression & occupied part of our territory in 2014

#Sheptytskyi had a vision of importance of investing in youth. He made a significant contribution to development of #plast - a Ukrainian version of #scouts movement. @plast still exists in various parts of the world.

Possibly the oldest Scout in the world is having his 104th birthday today. Eduard Marek (Czechia 🇨🇿) was helping persecuted Jews during WWII and later spent 7 years in a Communist prison. Always stayed loyal to the values of Scouting! Deepest respect! ❤ [📸 David Růžička] #skaut
