HISTORIC DAY — We’re proud to return land along the North Shore of Lake Superior to the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
Known as Chippewa City near Grand Marais, this land was home to many Ojibwe/Anishinaabe families.
It is now back with its rightful caretakers.
