Setting off for @NodeConfEU which is looking to be a nice line up of talks and workshops. Should get there just in time for the evening reception later!

@greateranglia neither you or cross country are running trains to Cambridge tonight from Stansted. Are you organising a bus replacement for those with tickets?

Right. Facebook was to used to subvert British democracy by campaign run by *actual* prime minister. Facebook has failed to put in safeguards to prevent this happening again. Electoral Commission, ICO & DCMS all say elections are unsafe. Please join me in saying #BanFacebookAds
It's the last PMQs before election. Will anyone - ANYONE - ask Boris Johnson about Vote Leave fraud??? Seriously. No-one has EVER asked him.

Day 2 Comes in to the office. Gotta be some issues on Jest project in github. Nah. Hang on, let's do a global search for process.exit(1) in .js files under test. BOOM! Sometimes it's good to just sleep on it.
1
Maybe it's because I'm not using ts-jest and there's an issue in the ts transformer we're using? Nope. Let's give the node process more memory. Nah, terminates at exactly the same point in the test run. Ah, maybe it's my machine. No, its repeatable in CI.
Life of a developer: Two days working out why test suite terminates unexpectedly with exit code = 1 while running tests. Maybe it's the test that Jest is currently running. No - skipped it and now it terminates on the next one. Version of Jest? No, same behaviour.

Nice talk by @alexnmoldovan on rendering performance and tips to optimise render time to reduce jank - need to get back and check on those long tasks in js! #fullstackcon

And so #fullstackcon begins - three packed days of talks and workshops for total immersion in JavaScript 😀

Pretty rubbish week for @TLRailUK with a big delay repay claim now tops it off by being stuck behind a train waiting for a driver at Finsbury Park. Should have grabbed another pint!

Can’t remember the last time I saw the train information displays working as they should on the 700s @TLRailUK, mostly frozen or providing the wrong information...

Hey @Ford is there a real difference in hardware (front camera) between the driver assistance add-on on the UK fiesta st line and st line x trims to enable traffic sign recognition, or is it purely software? We bought recently and got v. confused how the addon differs by trim lvl

Does the re-introduction of services from the May timetable in December include new weekend services, for example Cambridge to Brighton? @TLRailUK

Nice little touch on ios12, recognising and prompting you to copy security codes (e.g. PayPal 2 factor auth) received by sms into app. Simple, but effective!

@GNRailUK excellent job. Another short formed 4/12 5.42 service to Cambridge at peak time - where is your communication to the station?! It’s Kings Cross, a terminus station, insane.

It’s a shame you’ve got to rely on crowdsourcing information to get any real information on what’s going on. 18.12 cancelled then uncancelled, but damage already done cancelling it and announcing it. This is what you’ve driven me to, but it’s ok, this ones on you!

Decided to roll the dice and get the @TLRailUK instead back to Cambridge m. Perhaps a randomised strategy is better to get back?
Just checking out the new @GNRailUK and @TLRailUK interim timetable, and the 7.54a from Cambridge to St Pancras is a thing 👏 How much of a commitment is this timetable from GTR to run without disruption?
Slow clap for @GNRailUK’s 7:40 from Cambridge to Kings Cross running as a 4 car rather than 12 car - I’m staying away but what are the chances the next train runs on time?

I’m not gonna push too hard on this as I see many stories of misery on other @TLRailUK services, but the odd Cambridge service bound for Farringdon appears to be more of a mystery than it was last week or the week before. Any idea when I’ll be able to count on it?

@TLRailUK care to comment? The additional stops on the fast Kings Cross service from Cambridge at peak times are causing the trains to be unbearable due to overcrowding.
