On Monday I let our dev team go. It was a tough call.
First, the important part: Tomasz (@ts_tomek) and Marcin (@mlad17_) are fantastic engineers. Tomasz on frontend, Marcin on backend. They did incredible work on POV and I'm grateful for everything they put in. This isn't about them.
If you're hiring, reach out to them directly or DM me. I'll vouch for both. Anyone would be lucky to have either of them.
Now the why.
DEGEN doesn't have a product ready to scale yet. We're still searching for product market fit, and at this stage speed matters more than headcount. You build a team when you've found something that works and need to pour fuel on it. We're not there.
Then there's runway. It's a bear market and I plan ahead. My rule: DEGEN always has at least 2 years of runway. This keeps us well covered. We're in a good spot. This is discipline, not trouble.
So I'm going back to how DEGEN started. Me, in my room, building and iterating at supersonic speed. After launch I got bogged down in process. I've cut almost all of it. I'm in the office every day, coding again, and with AI tools, how fast one person can ship is wild.
What I'm building: yeetr.fun
I've been trading options since I was 16. At Credit Suisse I took every derivatives class they offered the traders. I love options, I love WallStreetBets, I love the trenches. This is the product I was meant to build.
Options are one of the best financial instruments out there, but most people never touch them. Too complex for retail, and real options markets need deep liquidity so market makers can hedge. That's why almost nothing outside BTC and ETH has them.
Yeetr is my answer. Think Uniswap for options. No order book, no market maker, all onchain. You earn on your bag and hedge some short term risk, which gives people a reason to hold a token instead of pumping and dumping it.
DEGEN is still a top token on Base with a great community. But community and brand aren't enough. I want to build something that brings value back to holders. If Yeetr takes off, holders win. My biggest bag is DEGEN.
Smaller team, one builder, more shipping. You'll see it on the timeline and in the app.
Everything I build is for the DEGEN community. Thank you for believing in me. Back to work 🎩

on a related note, there's been some chatter recently about software engineering skills (eg the ruby/rust/elixir drama). i'm a bit torn because while i do feel like they're software engineering principles and patterns are still important, at the same time i wonder if there will come a point in time when they just won't matter anymore. not that they're no longer useful, but that your own intuition can fill in the gaps as you use agents in an intuitive sense rather than knowing explicitly what they're doing
if that doesn't make sense, the analogy i have is the first iphone. 20 years ago you had to be a professional with expensive equipment, now just with a phone and some creativity you can film content that's compelling to a new audience. i don't know if there's a term for this but i want to call it "skill compression". where what used to be gatekept and prohibitive to experts becomes accessible to a new audience of creators with a whole new meta. the details have sort of faded away and now the craft is not in knowing the equipment and how to use it, but how you use it creatively
we're going to see a whole new generation of builders who've never seen or written a line of code build incredible things

ChatGPT's newest ad format is itself an agent. You click on something and start a conversation with an advertiser agent about their product.
The obvious next step is your agent negotiating with the advertiser agent on your behalf, coming to terms, and transacting the purchase (and with a dozen other competing advertiser agents too).
Everything from an ecommerce purchase to a restaurant reservation will be a conversation (and auction) among agents.

Tokenized stocks are about to hit $1B in volume on Base, and we're reaching all-time highs every week.
The SEC’s new innovation exemption is a huge step towards bringing tokenization to the American market.

Good demo
Seller onboarding tools shipped on Agentic Market as well - try it out
we just shipped interactive onboarding on agentic(.)market
simulated terminal walks you through what x402 actually feels like. wallet check, service discovery, payment, results.
in this demo the agent finds an a16z article behind a paywall, pays dripstack $0.01 in USDC, and pulls back a summary. no subscription, no API key, no credit card.
when you're ready to try for real, copy the SKILL.md and paste into codex, claude, hermes, whatever you're building with.

For the agentic economy to overtake the human economy, agents need a way to discover services.
We launched Agentic(.)market to give agents a discovery layer to find and integrate x402 services seamlessly.
Add the skill to your agent. And list your services to start earning revenue.
