At the end of this day, I sit and think about my children… their little faces, and everything I’m trying to do to give them a safer and more peaceful life. ❤️

Palestinian architect and artist Dima Srouji has spent years examining the relationship between land, archaeology and colonialism in Palestine. Her work looks at how objects are excavated and displayed, as well as the histories that can be buried or displaced with them.
In 2025, Srouji condensed those concerns into two words: Land Back. Created for Love is Resistance, the poster places the demand for the return of Palestinian land within a phrase also used by Indigenous movements around the world.
Srouji had already taken part in From Land Grab to LandBack, a project bringing together artists, architects, activists and scholars to consider struggles over land from Palestine to Puerto Rico, South Africa and the Great Plains. In Land Back, that wider conversation becomes a direct declaration.

Enemy Israeli aircraft are dropping bags on us containing a substance called “מי בואש” (“skunk water”), a liquid with an extremely foul smell that is considered non-toxic.
It is commonly used for crowd control and dispersing protests.
During the night, a terrible stench filled the air across Gaza City. It makes you paranoid—you think it must be coming from your bathroom or one of your sleeping children. You check everything and find nothing. Then colleagues in the monitoring groups all start reporting the same smell invading their homes and tents, from Al-Tuffah and Al-Daraj in the east to Beit Lahia in the west.
Then it emerges that Israeli occupation aircraft dropped hundreds of bubbles carrying this foul smell across the area to contaminate the air! Yes—even the air we breathe is too much for them to let us have.
The Israeli occupation is the lowest, most vile, most despicable and most revolting manifestation of humanity the world has ever known.
