On that day of April 2025, I was notified I would go through a tax audit. How ingenuous was I. Never would I have imagined the scale of the brutality and the perversity of the French tax system. On October 7th, I will attend the last meeting with the tax hierarchy where a shift in the decisions could potentially happen — which is highly unlikely. After that, I will be bankrupted. We will go to court then, but that's 3 years minimum of having to survive. Besides stating like it's normal to take 600% tax income ( not a typo ), it's the destruction of the willpower, the humiliation, the destruction of the sense of self-worth, the theft of the entire working time that should have gone toward making the only thing that my dreams were made of : making art. This is how my country treats the builders, the innovators, the free spirits who chose not to depend on their nanny state of a system and pour their energy and their hopes into exploring a brighter future instead. The most interesting feat in this, is that I didn't commit any crime. They admitted that I never cheated, hid income or planned any tax evasion or even, optimization. I did not spend. I did not change my modest way of life. I never chased money. The "pretend internet money" never reached my bank account for me to spend it. They just felt entitled to cash that out, 4 years later, at an arbitrary price set at the peak of the NFT boom, while I was working 120 hours a week and that no response had been given by the tax dpt on how to treat that stuff. Worse : the most official source of fiscal information for artists was displaying a very official-looking way of doing it right, that was actually very wrong, and a trap. Not gonna lie, the rare works that I've been able to produce since the tax audit started, have happened through immense efforts, fighting the fatigue, the worthlessness, the summoning of the greater good, of seeking beauty within the hostility. I have gone through months of anxiety, disbelief, and despair. I have stopped going outside and see the world, or people. I secluded myself with only my helpless questioning for company. As the ultimate deadline approaches, I am now noticing a new feeling growing inside of me. Revolt. I hate politics. Stupid circus masqueraded in moral and illusion of democracy. But if you see me drop tweets outside of my artistic practice, don't bother them, just understand that I will not sleep, or stand the look of myself in a mirror, if I don't speak up. 💚 🤜
Finally ! Some use case for our worthless JPEGs 🫣

To everyone, thanks for the amazing years. It seems that the fxhash platform has come to a close. The artwork, however, lives on. The lack of communication around the wind-down is regrettable. To clarify and provide some closure: The entire fxhash team was let go in February, except for the founder. Currently, there appears to be no attempt being made to close on the loan offered to the company (the loan was previously mentioned in a post by ciphrd). Therefore, no current or future development is being planned. The website is now offline, and it is unclear whether it will come back. To all the people who made fxhash possible: artists, collectors, team members, enthusiasts, supporters, partners...in short, EVERYONE who took part in the special happening that was fxhash...THANK YOU! We shared so much together and had a truly wild code-based ride. Thankfully, @verse_works @lerandomart @objktcom are supporting the viewing & exchange of artworks published on fxhash. Mega props to them for staying true to the mission through difficult times. And former fxhash front-end developer @maerzhase3000 has developed a framework for keeping fxhash artwork available without relying on fxhash infrastructure: whitehash.m3000.io It's too bad things ended like this. But between the monumental trove of artwork that formed a unique creative movement and the friends we made along the way, some might say we lived it to the fullest. The discord community is indeed still online and active if you're looking for a place to hang and talk about the good ol' days. Can @Trackmania release some physical merchandise and game discs again please :)
I have an important message for you. This affects ALL OF US !!! Over the past few days we made our frustration with PlayStation very clear. We flooded their posts with comments, and we cannot stop now. We need to keep applying pressure on every single post they make until promoting games on their own social media becomes a problem for them. But there’s one more thing I want to ask you. I know it’s difficult. I know many of you only have a PlayStation to play on. I’m not stupid, I understand that. But as a community, we need to send Sony a message and the best way to do that is with our actions, not just our words. If you can, cancel your PS Plus subscription. Stop buying games from the PlayStation Store. Use your console offline whenever possible. It’s not enough to protest or leave angry comments. We have to back up our words with action. That’s the only language corporations truly understand. If PlayStation is your only way to play and you don’t want to give that up, then keep playing. No one is asking you to stop enjoying your hobby. But if you have another option, avoid buying games from the PS Store. If you have the choice, buy physical copies instead. If you can play without PS Plus, cancel it. This isn’t just for me or for physical collectors. It’s for all of us. Whether you buy digital or physical, we are all gamers. We all deserve better consumer rights and the freedom to choose a format instead of having that choice taken away. Please understand that this affects every single one of us. The more control Sony has over pricing and distribution, the easier it becomes for them to raise prices in the future. And let’s be honest, nobody wants to pay more for the exct same content. If we want things to change, we have to stand together. Our actions today will determine what choices we still have tomorrow. Let’s stop fighting each other and start making a difference as a community. Stand together!! Thank you Best Regards Bad Leroy Brown the baddest man in town #PSBlackout #NoDiscNoBuy #playstation #SavePhysicalMedia
