I'm still struggling to find the right words to express how I feel. I can’t stop looking at his last message to me. This is the last message I got from Dave. I remember how happy he was when he bought his boat, and I was so glad he had a nice day out to wash it. He really loved that boat... I also remember, around his birthday, he asked me to help him set up a giveaway. I jokingly said, "Shouldn’t we all be giving YOU something for your birthday?" and he replied, "I get it, but giving to people makes me happy." He loved people so much. His impact on our lives will never be forgotten. He was always there - to help, to give advice, or just to make you smile. With him, nothing was ever a problem - there was always a solution. He was a true pillar for so many of us. I also remember asking him if I could have just one clownfish since I didn’t have room for a big tank. He told me, "When you have your own place, start that hobby. But for now, I’ll send you videos of my fish every day." And he really did. Thats how caring he was. We laughed and talked about his puffer fish and their little personalities. And of course, we can’t talk about Dave without mentioning how much he loved his JPEGs. He had such a passion for the space and our project. He would come in team chat and write ideas or share opinions in all caps. We would always laugh and ask why is he yelling when we knew he was typing stuff for his IRL business in all caps so it stayed on accidentally. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he truly believed in the power of community, art, and Web3. What can you even say about someone who cared so deeply - for people, for animals, for everything around him? We can only be proud that we knew him and carry forward the kindness he shared with us. Dave, you will never be forgotten. I will never forget our friendship and all the moments we shared. My deepest condolences and prayers go to his family. Much love, hope you're chilling on some boat now and fishing. You will tell us all about it when we meet again.🎣
