Not sure how anyone can think this is SEC related. I can't imagine it's anything other than Finland tax related.
That said, unless he's actually retarded, he's been planning for this eventuality for a long time, knowing it could be any day. That's not how I'd want to live, but it would give me a lot of opportunity to set up contingency plans for when it did. So I think it's safe to assume he has done some significant work to ensure his creations survive. And that the Turkish police wouldn't find his private keys on a post-it in his nightstand labeled "ETH Stash Here".
The fact that this tax issue hasn't been resolved already is a little concerning to me. Initial thoughts are that Finland is being unreasonable, there's a genuine legal/factual dispute that needs to be litigated, or there are significant (i.e. security) issues with disclosing information needed to resolve the charges. Just guesses, but any of those would explain the gridlock. So would other things. Sometimes parties are just too far apart to resolve things out of court.
The "we're all going to die/sell it down to zero/hair on fire" crowd is ridiculous. What has changed since yesterday, really? I mean, people have lots of theories, zero facts to back them up. And yet they're perfectly willing to sell at a loss based on that emotion. OK, I guess.
The positive thing? We'll actually get to see (finally) what the charges entail. Like what Finland has really bitching about this whole time. I tried more than a few times to get info out of the Helsinki PD and court system, and came up empty. Now we'll have some actual certainty.
Or, everyone could panic. At least that burns calories.

@RichardHeartWin was detained in Istanbul this morning.
From the public reporting, this is connected to the Finnish tax investigation that produced the Interpol Red Notice (aggravated tax evasion tied to his time living and operating there).
The U.S. SEC case was already dismissed last year and is not active.
He is alive, in custody as part of a legal process, and has the resources and strong counsel to handle complex international tax and residency questions.
These kinds of disputes involving crypto income are detailed and often resolved through proper legal channels.
The Hex and PulseChain community has seen him navigate major regulatory hurdles before.
Stay calm, let the lawyers work, and give the process room.
Wishing him a fair hearing and the best possible outcome.

If you’re looking to reduce exposure to front-running and unnecessary tracking when trading on PulseChain, you may want to try @zkxwallet together with @piteasio.
ZKX Wallet runs on our own node infrastructure, with no trackers or user-data collection. From the outside, things stay quiet - there’s simply much less/no information being exposed.
But don’t take my word for it. Test it yourself and see.
@piteasio also does a solid job of routing transactions efficiently and reliably.

Hey #PulseChain builders 👀
Let’s build a PulseChain discovery thread
Reply with your project:
• name
• link / X handle
• 1 short sentence on what it does
DEXs, tools, wallets, trackers, bridges, games - everything welcome.
I’ll start:
@piteasio → piteas.io/
DEX aggregator for better swaps on PulseChain
@OfficialRampnow → app.rampnow.io/
Fiat on-ramp & off-ramp
Drop yours below 🔥
Would be cool to have one place where people can discover what’s being built on PulseChain.
There are tons of fake URLs going around, and we regularly report them to search engines to get them taken down, but they just keep coming back. So please stay cautious and don’t fall victim to scammers.
The one and only official URL: app.piteas.io ✅
Some fake URLs: piteas[dot]app, piteas[dot]live, pitaes[dot]io and more.
These are the most basic scam tactics, but still, better stay sharp.

I try to get only 3 points across to @elonmusk.
1. Free speech is no replacement for better speech, you must promote what you believe in, at the cost of what the enemy believes in.
2. You must fight back against those trying to destroy you, and that means voting and politics, consistently. You have to directly tell them whom to vote for and why, smart posts alone don't get the job done. And you must do so internationally, because the attacks and those that want to help you win are international as well.
3. You will wish you invested in rejuvenation technology as you age, just like @TonyRobbins did, when I pitched him on his island in Fiji in 2003 or '04. Took him 20 years of decay to believe.
4. I posted to save you on that one mixup with not declaring your total % shares owned and intention regarding twitter, which would have saved you an SEC case had you noticed the tweet. And we have some of the same lawyers. I tried.
I've livestreamed or voiced with @MarioNawfal , @ZubyMusic , @KimDotcom and others that have all livestreamed with @elonmusk, the chance the algo feeds him a useful to him post of mine is quite high. I would have said these things to him personally but for being kicked from chat by Kim as soon as soon as Elon joined the chat voice chat.
Getting Elon to do what is right for himself is a shortcut to the world becoming better for us all. The things you care about might get more reach, the things you hate might become smaller, and when you need medicine, it might be there. It's a high leverage, low time investment strategy.

The easiest way to get hacked in crypto is to "google" a website, click the fake as fuck link up top, that did SEO or paid per click to get there. Then connect your wallet and lose all your money. For some reason, people are pretending there's another way to do it. Some type of magical signing hack, lol. Like, bro, if there was someway to actually spam bullshit hacks transactions into peoples wallets, people would be losing their money far more often.
There's no way to magically "inject" bullshit, scam transactions into someone's wallet, but for them connecting to a bad dapp.
The only other, barely hackish way, is or someone to watch fake, scam transactions hitting their address in a block explorer, and just straight up send the fake address money.
I'm happy to learn. Am I missing something?

PulseX v1.1.4 is out now & offers better rates for many things by routing through the ProveX liquidity. PRVX is added in the defaults
Shout out to piteas.io for showing that PulseX could improve its routing logic to give better rates, by going through ProveX pairs. Beware that searching piteas in some search engines gives a drainer (bad) as the first result.
Also a price chart has been added to ProveX.com

Incredible post on how to stay safe in crypto, and the example @piteasio gave in the comments is a great example of the lengths people will go to in order to scam someone.
Both @piteasio and @LibertySwapFi (involved in this thread) have been delivering consistent bangers for security advice for a long time now. In amongst a sea of scammers, it's great to have a few liferafts like these guys as trusted sources of information.
Scammers don’t sleep! 🚨
Both you as users and us as devs are constantly exposed to these scam attacks, so everyone needs to stay alert at all times. The "it won’t happen to me" mindset can end up being really painful. Here are a few tips 👇
🛟Never keep a wallet extension on any device where you do risky stuff like using cracked software, browsing sketchy sites, connecting to unknown networks, etc. Honestly, don’t even keep any crypto-related data on those devices.
🛟 Always make sure the dApp URL is the correct one. This is classic phishing. Most browser-protection antiviruses can catch it, but usually only after someone already got hit and reported it. So the first line of defense is still you.
🛟 Make sure the transaction you’re confirming is actually going to the correct contract. Some malware can infect your browser and inject fake web3 requests that can really mess you up. This is something even experienced people often miss. Recently, there were incidents where an unauthorized npm update used in one of the wallet repos caused people to get drained even while using the correct URL.
🛟 Pay attention to what contract you’re approving. If it’s non-upgradable like Piteas/PulseX and permissions are isolated, you’re usually fine. But if it’s an upgradable contract and the owner/admin rights are in risky hands, the tokens you approved can disappear instantly.
🛟 Especially when sending transfers, double-check the full address. Just looking at the first 3-4 char or last 3-4 char is not enough. Address spoofing steals hundreds of millions of dollars almost every month.
🛟 This might sound weird, but even re-check the address you copied. There have been major losses before because of malware that reads and replaces clipboard data.
🛟 Never store your seed or private key in a plain txt/notepad/etc file. If possible, don’t store them on your device at all. But if you absolutely have to, at least put them in an encrypted zip with multiple layers. If someone gets remote access to your device, you’ll get drained fast otherwise.
As devs, we usually prepare treasury-wallet operations off-chain and execute them cleanly for security reasons. But no matter what, we all still have active wallets like everyone else, so we need to stay on guard too.
Lately we’ve been seeing a big increase in scammers targeting Pulsechain, so we thought it would be useful to share some extra info with the community. There are fake URLs impersonating Piteas, PulseX, and Liberty. We don’t have some magical power to auto-detect and take them all down, and they keep changing constantly.
And finally, don’t forget this: only you can protect yourself. This is your money, and this is not a game.
Stay sharp and stay safe, guys!
