I hate having something planned “later”, be it a social engagement or a flight, because my brain works single threaded and the “act of waiting” count as a task, taking up a queue worker in my mind.
Copilot for Xcode by @intitni is a work of genius!
Like PopClip, it does its magic using the macOS Accessibility API. Its integration with the Xcode editor environment is really smooth and I can tell that putting this thing together was a non-trivial task.

I'm loving coding using Zed (@zeddotdev) after installing it earlier this week. At the moment it has replaced VS Code for me.
I've also dabbled with Vim recently, but it's still a little too steep to learn for me to be really productive in. Zed hits a sweet spot and does have a decent Vim mode (though missing a few things like Vim's macros).
The key thing with Zed is it's lightning fast with no clutter in the UI.
Zed's multi-buffer search results are amazing. Edit all the found files right there within the search results window.
The way it integrates AI assistance is really nicely designed too.
Only thing I'm noticing I'm missing is strong refactoring support (especially file renames). It's also still a beta with a few small glitches you notice from time to time. But still fully usable as a main editor.
I set up a public server that generates icons using the same text spec format that PopClip extensions use. Example:
icons.popclip.app/icon?speci…
This will form part of the backend for the upcoming improved PopClip extension directory.

Q: how did you learn [___], do you have any books to recommend?
A: yeah no I read zero books, it was a blur of obsessive indulgence across hundreds of scattered sources online and experimental coding and then years later I somehow came out the other end knowing a lot about it

The growing complexity of software is not the worst thing. In fact it is completely natural, just as the growing entropy of a system. The worst thing is the people believing it is absolutely necessary and not only refusing to fight it, but actually defending it.

@pilotmoon would love to see a TOT app Popclip extension. Any possibility of this?
