Today in Wainwright with @dckurek, I met with Mayor Bruce Pugh, Fire Chief Aime Smyl, Deputy Fire Chief Wade Pillman, MLA Garth Rowswell and Reeve Mike Wildeboer of the MD of Wainwright to hear directly from the people leading this community through the tragedy at CFB Wainwright.
Our hearts are with the families of the service members we lost, and with everyone injured and still fighting for their lives. These are men and women who put on the uniform to protect our country. Their families deserve our prayers and our support.
To the firefighters, paramedics, nurses, doctors and soldiers who ran toward the fire and worked through the night: thank you. Wainwright and its base have always been critically interlinked. In the worst of moments, this community showed exactly who it is.
Conservatives will stand with Wainwright, our troops, and their families for as long as it takes.

Sous Justin Trudeau, on a vu les scandales se succéder. Aujourd’hui, avec Mark Carney, ce sont ses liens financiers avec Brookfield et les décisions de son gouvernement qui soulèvent de sérieuses questions.
Et quand on demande des explications, on a l’impression qu’on dérange !
Depuis quand demander de la transparence est devenu un problème ?
Le Canada n’est pas une entreprise privée.
Le premier ministre n’est pas le propriétaire du pays.
Et votre argent n’est pas un chèque en blanc !

Carney makes a lot of grand speeches, but what are the actual results?
📉 Over 100,000 jobs LOST over two months.
📉 Fewer people are even LOOKING FOR WORK than at almost any point in nearly three decades.
📉 Thousands of young people have GIVEN UP HOPE of finding a job.
Only Conservatives will cut red tape and lower taxes on local employers so young workers can finally earn a decent paycheque.
