I was tired of dealing with the old incandescent light boxes last time I used them. We had to have the room fairly blacked out, needed voltage sources, burned out a bunch of bulbs, etc. These LED flashlights show color addition with lights off and windows open! 😍 #iteachphysics

If you have one of these wave machines and ever found that the rods fall out, you can buy rubber grommets to make sure they don't.
Somehow this tipped over a few times in a week and it was annoying to reassemble. Never again! I can even hold it upside down.

I was intrigued by an unlabeled bubble of nebulosity I noticed on Stellarium. It did not show up on my Tirion Sky Atlas either. After searching online, I identified it as the supernova remnant CTB-1. It took 3 nights to gather enough exposures to reveal this dim target in HSO.

I used an image from Dave Rakestraw's Physics with Phones project to project cyan, magenta, and yellow lights on my TV to cast the shadows on a screen. Your students can do this and more, see Experiment 3 - Part 1, Experimenting with Electromagnetic Waves: st.llnl.gov/sci-ed/Physics-w…

Smoke usually doesn't behave like a liquid, because its particles tend to rise, carried by convection currents.
But there are conditions in which smoke can drip like water, especially when it can cool down and condense, becoming denser than air.
