In 1975, George Harrison was photographed by Terry Oโ€™Neill at Friar Park, the extraordinary estate he had purchased five years earlier. By then, the former Victorian garden had been transformed into an almost fantastical world of grottoes, ponds, sculptures, gardens, and secret nooks. Harrison devoted years to restoring it and came to regard gardening as a form of contemplation. The estate also inspired his music. On the album All Things Must Pass, he included โ€œBallad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let It Roll),โ€ dedicated to the former owner who had created that unique Victorian universe. Over time, Friar Park became an inseparable part of Harrisonโ€™s identity. Years later, he would simply describe himself as โ€œa gardener.โ€

Bishop Fulton J. Sheen, 1965 Over 65 years ago warned us all that the United States would be ruined by toxic empathy. โ€œFalse compassionโ€ฆ is a pity shown not to the mugged, but to the mugger; not to the family of the murdered, but to the murderer.โ€ And here we are todayโ€ฆ

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Another historic church reduced to ashes. At 3:30 AM Monday, the Saint-Simon Catholic Church ,the largest wooden church in New Brunswick and the heart of this Acadian community , was completely destroyed by fire. Authorities are treating it as arson. Motion detectors went off. Flames started in the sacristy. By morning, a century of baptisms, weddings, funerals and community life was gone. This isnโ€™t โ€œjust a fire.โ€ Itโ€™s the latest in a long line of Canadian churches going up in flames while politicians look the other way. Our Christian and cultural heritage is under open attack, and the silence from Ottawa is deafening. The people of Canada deserve answers, justice, and a full Notre-Dame level rebuild not excuses.

A woman invested one hundred fifty thousand dollars from her personal retirement funds so that senior women would have access to reasonably priced housing and avoid spending their later years in solitude. In the town of Cumby, Texas, seventy-year-old Robyn Yerian withdrew resources from her 401(k) account to establish The Birdโ€™s Nest, a collection of compact residences designed expressly for older women who wanted both low-cost living arrangements and the company of others. Across a five-acre property, Robyn arranged for essential services and prepared fourteen plots suitable for tiny homes. At present, eleven women ranging in age from sixty to eighty reside there, each contributing roughly four hundred fifty dollars monthly. The residents discovered benefits that extended well beyond modest rental costs. They prepare and enjoy meals together, assist with daily tasks, monitor one anotherโ€™s health during periods of sickness, and gather beneath a shared outdoor structure. The setting has evolved into an environment in which advancing age need not equate to social isolation. Interest in the community has been substantial. Robyn is said to have obtained over five hundred inquiries for the limited fourteen available positions. She might have devoted her entire retirement nest egg exclusively to her own needs. Instead, she directed a portion of those savings toward creating an asset that many seniors value as highly as shelter itself: a neighborhood in which no individual is required to grow old in isolation.

Rainwater Creates โ€˜Nagaโ€™s Eyeโ€™ at Phu Langka National Park A natural rock pool resembling a giant eye has emerged as a rainy-season attraction at Naka Cave in Phu Langka National Park, Bueng Kan, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation said. The โ€œNagaโ€™s Eyeโ€ is formed when sunlight reflects off rainwater collected in a sandstone pothole created by long-term erosion. The pool is about 1.5โ€“2 metres deep and holds water for most of the year. The phenomenon is most visible between May and October, when the pool is full and sunlight strikes it at a favourable angle. Water levels fall and leaves accumulate after October, making the reflection less distinct. Visitors can access the site along the Naka Cave trail but have been asked not to touch, mark or damage the rock formations. #Thailand #เธ”เธงเธ‡เธ•เธฒเธžเธเธฒเธ™เธฒเธ„เธฒ

Long before intensive human fishing began, Pacific reefs naturally supported far more sharks than Caribbean reefs, according to a new study in Science. The findings, based on an analysis of fossilized shark scales, suggest that differences in ocean productivityโ€”and not fishing aloneโ€”have shaped shark populations for thousands of years, information that could guide future conservation efforts.
