โKids are resilientโ is one of the most B.S lines to come out of the pandemic.
If kids are so resilient, why do we have a generation of adults still talking about childhood trauma?
Kids are vulnerable. Their mental health is just the easiest to ignore.
When kids feel anxious, we teach them to manage anxiety.
Not numb it with pills.
When kids feel tired, we teach them how to improve sleep quality.
Not sedate them with pills.
When exercise, diet, and lifestyle are modeled, kids get education before medication.
Is your child intelligent, creative, and physically active?
I regret to inform you, but this is now a neurodevelopment condition.
We've officially accomplished what Orwell predicted in 1984.
Health means illness. Intelligence is a disability. Movement is a disorder.
2+2 = 5
The term mental health is increasingly dangerous.
It's being used to label health issues among children as "disorders."
When kids are sedentary, screen-addicted, and exhausted...
They're supposed to feel anxious, unfocused, and depressed.
Not a "disorder."
It's order.
Labeling millions of kids with "disorders" reflects one thing.
The collapse of accountability among adults.
Unless sleep, exercise, nutrition, and social connection are prioritized parents don't have "disordered children."
Children have disengaged parents.
Labeling millions of kids with "disorders" reflects one thing.
The lack of accountability from adults.
Unless you've prioritized their sleep, exercise, nutrition, and social connection you don't have a "disordered child."

The future of health?
No child will be medicated for wanting to move.
The desire for labels will be replaced with respect for human individuality.
That's the future we're building.

The future of health?
People choose practitioners who are healthy.
Not sedentary doctors with a blood pressure cuff in one hand, and a prescription pad in the other.
That's the future we're building.

The future of health?
Schools that look like prisons are replaced with real education centers.
Kids learn to breathe, eat, sleep, and exercise. Not sit still and memorize.
That's the future we're building.

The future of health?
We encourage kids to move, instead of medicating them for it.
Adults model health, instead of normalizing illness.
Health is personalized, not generic.

The future of health?
Kids learn to move their bodies, instead of sitting still for 7 hours a day.
Families exercise together, instead of doomscrolling.
Feeling good is normal.
That's the future we're building.

We give kids skills, instead of pills.
Practitioners are healthy, not sick.

I was speaking with a college advisor.
Her students are increasingly:
a.) medicated
b.) building their identity on labels and disorders.
The #1 thing they say?
"I can't."
We're building a movement to remind the next generation that they CAN!
5 Things We're Teaching Kids This Week:
1.) Breathing impacts stress, anxiety, and mental focus.
2.) Sleep is the foundation for health.
3.) Nutrition impacts brain function.
4.) Exercise builds our brain, not just our biceps.
5.) Health isn't passive, it's active.
We pretend that putting millions of children on drugs to make them sit still in school is normal.
But itโs not normal.
Kids are prescribed pills to increase dopamine and norepinephrine.
While spending 7 hours a day in classrooms that suppress both.
A generation of students are leaving school undereducated and overmedicated.
They're anxious and depressed.
It's not a "disorder."
It's a perfectly normal response to an education system that failed to prepare them for the real world.
We're diagnosing millions of kids with "mental disorders."
In a society where being sedentary is normal.
Where screen-addiction is common.
Where exhaustion is a badge of honor.
Perhaps it's the culture, not the kids, that's disordered?
The school system is an assault on the health of our kids.
7 hours of sitting, lack of sunlight, and ultra-processed foods.
Everyone involved knows this, they're just too demoralized to care.
The future of education puts the health of our next generation first.
