Hello Glasgow! @thecsp and @thecspstudents Physio26 has started and it’s great to see so many delegates in attendance
Keep an eye out for your CSP Council Members (rocking out new lanyards) and come and talk to us about what Physio means to you
#Physio26
It was an early start today as I made my way to Bristol for my flight to Glasgow for Chartered Society of Physiotherapy flagship conference
As a Council Member I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet and hear from members from across the breadth of the profession, 1/
not only about the amazing work they do, but also the challenges they face and the opportunities to overcome them
If you’re there please look out for and engage with your CSP Council Members. If you’re joining online please reach out to us in a format works for you 2/
Also don’t forget about the AGM on Tuesday morning!

Great to hear @moversand6 talking about #Osteoporosis this week
It’s just a shame the speaker seemed to be unaware of the Bone Health audit and campaign by @ParkinsonsUK and that there’s been amazing work undertaken by colleagues including @DrEmHenderson and team 🦴
#BoneHealth
This week my wife, Natalie, and her sister, set off for their 100km trek along to Santiago de Compostela to raise vital funds for @OcuMelUK
Your support will help the charity to deliver support for people impacted by this rare cancer.
Thank you

Today’s the day where we get to shout about the amazing profession that is Physiotherapy.
So on this year’s World Physiotherapy Day it’s time to send a huge shout out to members of @thecsp and also who practice but aren’t members for whatever reason.
Whether you’re a fully chartered Physiotherapist working in the NHS, Private or Charity sector or if you’re a Student or a Support Worker your contribution to patient care is so important and helps people to live meaningfully and participate in the activities that are
important to them.
I’m proud to say that I’m a #Physio and not only represent my profession but also to be an advocate as a Council Member

On Thursday many of us will be asked to do our civic duty and vote in local elections. When you do remember that these elections are about local issues.
Some parties and individuals may try and appeal to you about national issues but voting for they won’t be resolved here.
Instead make sure you use your vote to improve your local community!
And remember your ID! 🪪

Today it was a change of scene from my usual role at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and a case of going full circle as I taught my first session in the new University of St Mark & St John Health & Wellbeing Hub
Although I’ve now been teaching on this course for 3 years today’s session took place in a building I formerly knew as PAHC (when I studied #Physiotherapy there with University of Plymouth)
It was a pleasure to meet with and teach the students about #Parkinsons today and also promote the The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Student Conference #Physio26
I’m looking forward to seeing them again as I teach further sessions over the next several weeks
