Just a reminder: reopening is NOT because there is a reduced risk of getting COVID. It’s because we have the capacity in the system to deal with an influx of patients. WE CAN LET MORE PEOPLE GET SICK.
Keep 👏 staying 👏 home 👏.
You've killed all the roses
You've killed all libido
And you've killed health insurance
By electing that Cheeto.

Hundreds of AASUA and @UnionNASA members showed up today because we're not backing down. Increasing workloads, precarious employment, and stagnant salaries all pose a risk to #ualberta's high-quality education.
Thanks to all fellow unions who came out in support! #solidarity

I am stunned at @benandjerrys post about Land Back and returning the Black Hills. Usually even the most “progressive” brands will only offer lukewarm land acknowledgments and stop there. Seeing a company this big tell the real truth using this language evokes so many emotions.
Anyone else have their election signs taken? Someone grabbed all the @albertaNDP signs on our block last night and walked away, even with our dog trying to eat him - it wasn’t worth the fight. Sorry @MarlinSchmidtAB!

Here’s the thing: it’s one thing for kids to voluntarily read things actually written for adults, it’s another altogether to create a situation where a child might pick up a book they are not ready for cus it’s being touted as age-appropriate when it’s not

This is the photo in question—don’t want to tag anyone b/c I see where they’re coming from. But my hot take is that almost every book here is (or should be considered) YA. I’m sorry but this is what teens read. They have shit to figure out & books are a safe place to do that

These three are incredible!
Sara, Sarah, and Janaya are @ab_vax. These moms, all volunteers, have spent countless hours connecting Albertans with vaccines.
@pancholi_rakhi, Marlin, and I were so proud to present them with QEII Platinum Jubilee Medals.
Thank you. Truly.

POV: at the beginning of the pandemic, my mother asking about PCR testing, me answering and he saying she’ll just google it.
As I stand in front of her wearing a UA School of Public Health shirt and carrying a Harvard version as a tote.
My husband (who can barely skate backwards or stop) asked me if he should ask his friends about which skates to get for our toddler and how to start. I was a @SkateCanada professional coach for years and spent 20 years on the ice. I have no words.
