As a former Marine I cringe because I used to believe this.
It’s only through Jesus slowly redeeming my heart that I finally see the seductive falsehoods in stuff like this.
Thanks to you, Brian, and your book A Farewell to Mars for helping me begin sorting through this.
From asking cops for Brewers baseball cards in the '90s to watching this squad bring it home today...
This video is everything.
Legit teared up watching this. Unbelievable. WE ARE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS! 🏆🍻
Thank you @Brewers !
Wasn’t sure I’d ever witness this! Unbelievable!
World Series here we come!

Yep.
I genuinely think a lot of millennials are reaching the same conclusion at the same time.
We grew up watching technology make life better every year. Cell phones. iPods. Smartphones. An app for everything. It felt like the future was arriving right in front of us, and we couldn’t wait for what came next.
Then somewhere along the way, it changed.
Everything became a subscription. Social media became algorithms. Every day feels like another once-in-a-lifetime event. The things that were supposed to save us time somehow ended up demanding more of our attention than ever.
We were sold convenience.
What we got was a world that feels faster, louder, more expensive, and somehow less human.
And that’s why so many people I know dream about a completely different life now. Not more technology. Not more optimization.
Just a quiet job, a flip phone, a small town, and a place where life feels real again.
“Oh [America], if only you knew the things that make for peace, but now they are hidden from your eyes.”
- Jesus
True courage.
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.
“No such threat from Iran to our homeland exists, and it never did.”
Uh, so why is America in this war again??
This post and story should be immediately retracted by ABC News for providing false information to intentionally alarm the American people.
They wrote this based on one email that was sent to local law enforcement in California about a single, unverified tip. The email even states the tip was based on *unverified* intelligence. Yet ABC News left out this critical fact in their story! WHY?
TO BE CLEAR: No such threat from Iran to our homeland exists, and it never did.

I enlisted to serve my country.
They called Muslims “sand n**gers”, “Hajis” and “Joe sh*t the ragman”.
They told us “we gotta fight them over there or we will have to fight them over here”, “they don’t value human life like we do”, and “they hate us because we are free”.
These were all lies. Dehumanizing propaganda designed to make it more palatable for the public to have our troops kill people by the thousands.
I saw my fellow service members die and maimed and kill innocents for these lies. I saw friends lose part of their soul when they took lives. I saw people haunted by screams. I saw veterans kill themselves over the anguish of what they had seen and done. 22 veteran suicides a day for decades. I saw our country’s international reputation destroyed and a trillion dollars wasted for these lies.
I’m still angry about it all these years later. This is why I have no tolerance for the same lies being pushed by the same people for another iteration of the same stupidity.
These wars of aggression do not serve our country.
I am anti war to the core. You will never change me on this.
Treating war like a video game and celebrating death and destruction.
I’d expect this kind of propaganda from North Korea, not from the official account of the White House.
What a disgrace.

Dear Christians, please do not listen to any Christian leader celebrating the bombing of Iran.
The Christ of the Gospels does not bless war, empire, or violence wrapped in patriotic language.
Saying you worship the “Prince of Peace” while changing your role to “Secretary of War” is a bold move. I wonder how that’ll work out for you, @PeteHegseth

Imagine reading from Genesis to Revelation, about God liberating people time and time again from Egypt to Rome, and somehow arriving at the conclusion that the Bible is to be used to support the power of earthly empires rather than to advocate for the people empires harm.
It’s going to be beautiful ending the Bears season on their home field!

Yeah
Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss
"The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country. This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement. Details to follow. There will be a News Conference today at 11 A.M., at Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP"
Athletic trainer here…this is spot on.
I tell students interested in being athletic trainers or sports docs for teams - youth or pro - the same thing. Games are part of your job, games are on weekends and evenings.
You can certainly be an AT or sports doc without team coverage, but if you want to work in college/pros, be prepared to say goodbye to your personal time in season. It can be a very rewarding career but not without sacrificing other things
