The coffee can of destiny is back! 🗳️
The Ballot Position Lottery for the May 20th Primary Election starts at 11:00 A.M. in City Hall, Courtroom 653. Candidates or their proxies will draw to determine ballot order. #PhillyVotes @hornandhardart @MrHornNHardart

ALT Photograph from the Philadelphia City Commissioners. A vintage black and orange Horn & Hardart Coffee can sits on a wooden table, slightly out of focus in the background. In the foreground, a collection of red plastic lottery balls with silver numbering spill across the table. Some balls display visible numbers such as 1, 4, 15, 16, and 63. The Philadelphia City Commissioners logo appears in the top left corner, and the URL vote.phila.gov is in white text in the bottom right corner
Loved seeing @TeamAOC on Sunday in South Philly!!
Keep the Sixers in South Philly!

Last year, our elected committee people overwhelmingly passed a resolution opposing the proposed Philadelphia 76ers arena to be built in Chinatown.

It's #ElectionDay!! 🗳️🗳️
We can't wait to see our neighbors at the polls. DM us your questions throughout the day, we're here for you! 🩵✅🩵 #southphillyvotes
Do you have thoughts about what should go into our city’s budget? This event at South Philadelphia High School is for you!
It’s tax season, and this video by our state rep sums up the problems with PA’s tax system, which puts too much of the burden on working class Pennsylvanians. Not many elected leaders have the guts to take on the super-rich. We’re glad ours is one of them.
Taxes are too high for working and poor people in PA and unfairly low for the super-rich.
We need a better system.
Repealing the uniformity clause would allow us to adopt a progressive tax rate, so the ultra-rich pay their fair share to fund our communities. #TaxTheRich💸

Yesterday, I had the honor of witnessing my friend and constituent, Judge Kay Yu, take her oath of office to serve on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Judge Yu brings with her wisdom, empathy, and clear sense of justice. Having her on the bench makes our city better.

I'm delighted to share that we've officially filed for re-election with over 3,000 signatures!
My entire team and I couldn't be more grateful to every resident of the First Senatorial District who signed our petitions as well as to all the volunteers who supported this effort.

So wonderful to begin the day with @Fiedler4Philly and South Philly neighbors collecting petition signatures.
Grateful for the volunteers who are out across the district during this final push to ensure we’re on the ballot! It’s not too late to join us: mobilize.us/nikilsaval

It’s ridiculous that here in Pennsylvania two women can get married on a Sunday and fired from their job on a Monday.
Their landlord can legally throw them out of their apartment.
The House passed the Fairness Act to fix this.
Let's pass that bill and put it on my desk.

This Tuesday is the deadline to officially secure our place on the ballot. Will you commit to collecting signatures with us this weekend?

Before I was an elected official, I was a volunteer organizer with @UNITEHEREPhilly.
As your State Senator, I will always show solidarity with workers. In our hospitals, coffee shops, schools, museums, campuses, warehouses — wherever workers are standing up for their rights.
Huge crowd for @NikilSaval at the launch of his re-election campaign tonight!
Happening today! We’ll be there! Join us in supporting a State Senator that puts people and our communities first!
As your State Senator, I strive every day to deliver on a bold vision for Philadelphia working families.
We've built strong coalitions and won a historic investment in housing, but our work is far from finished.
I'd be honored if you joined me tomorrow: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…
