During summer vacation as a kid, my dad would use his lunch break to bring home Arby’s to my sister & I. Back then it was 5 Roast Beef Sandwiches for $5 🤯 It was a great deal & one that my frugal immigrant dad, who loved this American thinly shaved beef, couldn’t resist.
So on a recent drive down from the Bay, along the sparsely populated I-5, I noticed a lone Arby’s and decided to exit so he could try it once again. The “5 for 5” is long gone, but it felt good to buy Arby’s for him now 30 yrs later and “splurge” on anything he wanted to try. 🥹

It’s always baffled me.. if my hobby/special interest was extremely dangerous & known to kill ppl incl kids I would absolutely expect/enforce tough rules and high standards to prevent anyone from doing it. I’d assume gun enthusiasts would be Most vocal for more regulation because
Usually ppl with these dangerous hobbies and skills, such as scuba divers/electricians, are proud that they have the proper training and official certifications. Why aren’t gun enthusiasts more protective of their guns? Hell, magicians are more protective of their coin tricks.
