“Ancestors didn't live as long either” The classic “our ancestors didn’t live as long” comment. Are people really that stupid that they don’t understand life expectancy at birth with how long adults actually lived. They also didn’t have antibiotics, sewage systems, clean drinking water, trauma surgery, safer childbirth, dentistry, refrigeration or emergency medicine. A child dying at 3 pulls the average life expectancy down rather dramatically. It doesn’t mean every adult dropped dead at 35 after eating too much meat. Some people really look at thousands of years of infectious disease, infant mortality, accidents and childbirth deaths and conclude: “Must have been the steak.” Brilliant. 🤣
