‘Just reach out’. But are you someone who will let people reach out? We don’t have a culture that teaches people to be supportive of the ill. You learn quick to only share bits and pieces so you don’t become ‘too much’ and make people uncomfortable. We prize comfort over support.

i think a part of suicide nobody talks about is when someone reaches out to a friend or loved one the person on the receiving end just gets weird and uncomfortable and tells them to seek professional help
