I lost my Dad on 9/11. I don’t get a lot of reach on here. But I just wanted to share a picture. He was 39. I thought he was old. I’m now in my mid 30s and I still feel like a kid.
He was a great trader. He loved markets. He loved to find a stock no one was talking about.
The first trade I ever placed was on his work computer, where he let me click the button to buy AMAT. I loved going to the office with him. It was electric.
He was the best dad. We spent hours out in the street after dinner where he’d throw “pop flys” for me to catch. Eye on the ball.
He loved watching Sponge Bob and eating cereal, wrestling with us in the living room. He just loved being around his kids so much, and we knew it. I’m so grateful I got a dad like that.
Love you, Pops.

This is a Bozo company marketing a Bozo product, in a Bozo manner. It may get attention like a flasher in an alleyway, but it does not bode well for the company or humanity.
Grow up and sell on merit not on trashing humanity.

xAI doesn't need to wait until Monday. This team is too cracked and stays shipping.
Congrats @xai for releasing a brand new image gen model —Aurora!
Grok 2 + Aurora is now available with your X app in the model selector.
Oh, by the way, Grok 3 is coming. 🚀

This was entirely predictable and predicted. I’m hearing lots of stories like this. It’s crazy to stick this massive complexity on small businesses that are already being eviscerated by the bad faith Canada post strike. Civil servants need to do better for us.

A test of how seriously your firm is taking AI: when o-1 (& the new Gemini) came out this week, were there assigned folks who immediately ran the model through internal, validated, firm-specific benchmarks to see how useful it as? Did you update any plans or goals as a result?

Ottawa's Dr. Bill Gardner died peacefully two days ago surrounded by his friends and family. Bill was an absolute mensch and he inspired so many, myself included. I'm grateful to have met Bill - thanks to Twitter in fact - many years ago /1
Proud to share this CMPA white paper on #AI in healthcare! It was a pleasure to work with brilliant colleagues at @CMPAmembers to untangle the complex landscape of AI adoption, risk, and patient safety in Canadian healthcare 🇨🇦 🧵1/4
Last year, CMPA & @CPSA_CA brought healthcare leaders and tech experts together to talk INNOVATION, SAFETY & #AI.
Now, CMPA offers a deep dive on AI use by Canadian physicians via our new paper.

The CMPA proposes a framework of responsibilities across stakeholders - from developers to regulators to physicians - because safe AI adoption requires coordination and clarity on who's accountable for what. #PatientSafety 3/4
