All ‘DUNE: PART TWO’ had to do was come out in the fall and not right when 2024 started and that movie would be winning every single award, including being the Best Picture front runner.
I’ll never get over it. Hopefully PART THREE breaks through. #Oscars

Been thinking about Max and the week he's having.
Max is relatable because his career has had a crazy arc. He's gone from not even being able to keep his card to being a top 15 player in the wold and a Ryder Cup star in six years. That's a fun and interesting narrative.
But he's likable because he's vulnerable. Combine those two realities (dug-out-of-the-dirt success + vulnerability), and you have somebody who is extremely easy to root for.
There is a strange and perhaps silly thing that Max does that has always stood out to me. When he goes on the NLU pod, he always ends it by saying, "Love you guys." It is a thing that maybe a lot of us say to our friends, but most of us don't talk to our friends in front of thousands and thousands of people. It's not a big thing, but it's a sign of his willingness to be vulnerable at any and all times.
Being vulnerable (in other words, truly caring) as a professional golfer means getting your heart shredded over and over again. If he wins today, he will weep. If he loses today, it will hit him at some point later on and he will also weep. I find it endearing when people care that much about their craft, their work, the moment that they're in.
His quote. The one from Saturday.
"If I catch myself thinking about what could go wrong, I let myself dream about what could go right."
Dreamers are easy to root for, especially when they have fashioned success from tremendous failure. Especially when they share what they have learned along the way. Especially when they're willing to give you their heart because they truly don't know any other way to live.

Even as a movie buff, I was beginning to think it was time for me to start watching movies on my smartphone or tablet. However, when I watched "Dune: Part 2”, my rigid ways of thinking crumbled like sand! It meticulously depicts the non-existent world of Arrakis, bringing it to life with unprecedented detail and realism. While portraying revolution and love, fear and awe on the same axis, it magnificently captivates destruction and aestheticism in beautiful layers. This fim shouts, "This is cinema!" and provides the “spice” that we need to live. This masterpiece of Denis will likely become a “resistance” that will significantly delay the spread of subscription services.

I have a confession. I started watching How to Train your Dragon with a group of people this weekend. (I'd never seen it before). I knew I was in deep water the second Hiccup met Toothless (the dragon/dog) I quickly made up an excuse that I had to do something cause I knew waterworks was coming and I hate crying in front of people during movies cause I'm a man. So I went back and watched it by myself. Cried my dick off. Maybe the #1 happy tears movie of all time. It's so good I almost wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I don't think I'm gonna watch the next 2. Don't wanna have emotional breakdown. End of story time with Dave.

Congrats to Harrison Butler @little_toof on signing his first professional contract with Thor Akureyri in Iceland’s first division.
Harrison finished his time at SUU the all time leader in games, tied for #1 in wins, #1 in defensive rebounds, #4 in scoring, #2 in total rebounds!
The free throw line is a crazy thing. Giannis with zero confidence to drive that last possession because he didn’t want to be fouled. Never seen anything like it.
Either that or he’s more injured than he’s let on, which I think is also the case. Unbelievable Heat win.

36 points on 13 field goal attempts on that stage!! He’s more than a 3 & D wing…his work ethic and commitment has filled his toolbox. He’s got every read down and a solution for every problem. Very proud of his development.
