As @Livepeer has transitioned from a transcoding-only video network years ago, to an agentic-first media infrastructure today, the protocol has required a series of updates to keep up with the right incentives and security mechanisms necessary to enable such a network. 👇🧵

With more and more of the world's video being created by, edited with, or augmented by AI, it's well past time for the @Livepeer project to upgrade itself to be a highly impactful infrastructure that serves this space. I'm excited to peel back the curtain on an updated vision for Livepeer in the agentic first era. This vision introduces the Livepeer Agent - a video creation MCP that hooks up to your Claude / GPT / Codex / etc, and assists creators and marketers in their media creation, editing, and analysis tasks. Under the hood, agent calls out to 100's of models and video compute capabilities running on the Livepeer network. The linked post below contains multiple videos that were created entirely using Livepeer Agent, saving thousands of dollars, and hundreds of hours off the typical production process. The vision also suggests key tokeneconomic updates for $LPT, that are important to incentivize and secure the right types of behaviors on the network to deliver this infrastructure. The connection between fees and token value capture weakened as the network expanded beyond transcoding, and these updates strengthen it again to ensure LPT can succeed in the years to come. The momentum within the project has been incredible these past couple of weeks as the community has been working through these updates. The Livepeer Agent alpha is progressing quickly, being validated with users, and the community of node operators is weighing in on the protocol mechanisms proposed. There have been A LOT of learnings over the years...
Building physical networks in Web3 isn't easy and the early builders had to figure out hardware, token models, and real-world adoption the hard way. Join us TOMORROW (Thursday, July 30) at 9:00 AM EST for The Early Builders of DePIN: What They Learned & What They’re Building Now. We’re sitting down with two OG DePIN pioneers: 🎥 @Livepeer Decentralized video & AI compute infrastructure 🚗 @DIMO_Network Open connected-vehicle data network Expect an honest breakdown on hardware logistics, community scaling, and the future of decentralized physical infrastructure. 💬 Got questions for the guests? Drop them in our Q&A form: forms.gle/LwnewikBonRtL2iW8 🔔 Set your Space reminder now: xitter.cf/i/spaces/1wxWjjVLvgMJQ…

Stronk Rocks! Marco's been one of the most dedicated independent builders in the Livepeer ecosystem for years...
Marco van Dijk has seen Livepeer from almost every angle. ✅ Core infrastructure contributor ✅ Independent GPU node orchestrator ✅ Founder of FrameWorks, sovereign video infra built on the open compute network His story is a rare look at what happens when someone builds from inside the stack.

Built on ACE-Step, this lets you perform AI-generated music with synth hardware, almost like playing an instrument Hardware knobs shape DiT's initial noise, and the music is generated in real time through streaming A new kind of music is emerging Live music is the future

I just released this open source project built on @ACEStep_Music. DEMON: Diffusion Engine for Musical Orchestrated Noise. It lets you play ACEStep like a musical instrument, remixing songs and loops with feedback that approaches real-time. Its essentially StreamDiffusion but instead of Stable Diffusion it is ACEStep1.5, and instead of images it is full songs. It runs on 30/40/5090. Built with @DaydreamLiveAI team, testing, and building the demo. We are hosting it if you want to try it without installing. For full details, links, and writeup please see the pinned project page.

New technical AI media breakthrough! Generate and remix music in realtime with sub-100ms responsiveness.
Introducing DEMON: a real-time, local-first diffusion engine for continuous music generation and control Running at 25Hz with sub-100ms e2e latency on a single consumer GPU, it turns generative audio into an interactive streaming surface built to be played like an instrument.
