me and my femme were gonna binge all the HTTYD movies (it was both of our special interests as kids!) and she fell asleep when the first movie wasn’t even done… my beautiful sleepy princess…

He would never push a male rapist this way btw.
In the United States, 47-year-old Cassandra Goldstein was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Police officer Michael Hart slammed her against a concrete bench.
The impact resulted in multiple facial fractures, the loss of several teeth, and permanent vision loss in one eye, requiring the implantation of a titanium plate.
Officer Hart, who had 19 years of service, was dismissed and sentenced to two years in prison.
Following legal proceedings against the police department, Cassandra was awarded $810,000 in compensation.
I’m in my healthiest relationship, we don’t argue much at all, she treats me so well and I still do split on her from time to time. It’s not abt their skills as a partner, it could literally be anyone and my brain will still have episodes where it convinces me they hate me.
the most important thing is to keep pushing to try and become a better person. it’s not easy to be me but that’s not going to stop me from trying to improve. I still make mistakes and I’m still learning. my bpd isn’t who I am and you can learn to handle it better it over time.
I’m 20, almost 21 and I haven’t had a single friendship or relationship that lasted until now. while ppl have definitely mistreated me, I’m not going to act like a saint and say I haven’t done any wrong. I have absolutely been a very toxic person to be around, esp as a teen.
(by ‘doubt’ I mean the usually imaginary problem abt my partner that my bpd torments me over) from my experience bpd doesn’t rlly ‘get better / be less severe’ from having a healthy relationship, it just becomes a bit easier to manage / handle bc my partner supports me thru it.
when I’m splitting I have taught myself (over years of therapy & messing up my relation/friendships) to give my partner the benefit of the doubt, take some space to ensure I don’t lash out on her, and come back when I’m calmer to communicate how I was feeling, and she listens.
while bpd is nuanced, it is absolutely the our responsibility to work on ourselves to make sure we don’t lash out on our partner, regardless of our bpd giving us severe symptoms we can’t control. It’s not an excuse to treat ppl terribly. it’s not always the partner’s fault.
