I used to fear the future. I’d stress over the outcome of an election, or what might happen with the stock market.
But the more I intentionally lay down my life and give it to Jesus, the less those things ultimately matter in the big picture because I have been gifted things that are infinitely more precious.
-A savior that has conquered sin and death
-A 6-year-old son who just asked me to pray over him before he goes to sleep.
-A 8-year-old son who just quoted 1 Corinthians 13:13 by memory while his mom read him the Bible.
It took me 30+ years, but I finally understand this verse: "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" — Romans 8:31

In the Parable of the Prodigal Son, what did the father do wrong? Nothing.
I just feel like there are so many parents who need to hear this right now...

By popular demand, here’s the full #LadderGate2026 sermon illustration.
Week 7 of series through 2 Timothy, right after a few hundred people surrendered to Christ and are deciding whether to be obedient in baptism next week.
Would do this again a thousand times for those ppl (if I weren’t getting too old for stuff like this!)

She tied her two young children together in the basement. Then she threw her body on top of them.
A tornado was heading straight for their home.
When it hit, the house collapsed.
Two steel beams crushed Stephanie Decker’s legs. Seven ribs broke. Her legs were almost completely severed.
But underneath her were her two children.
Alive.
Then they realised something horrifying:
Another tornado was coming.
Stephanie couldn’t stand. Couldn’t run. Couldn’t free herself.
So she pulled the blanket over her children, wrapped her arms around them and covered them with her broken body.
Again.
The second tornado passed.
Neither child had even a scratch.
Stephanie survived, but lost both legs.
People called her a hero.
She simply said:
“I call myself a mom.”

What @jamestalarico really needs is to find a new pastor who is willing to say this to his face:

The Bible was breathed out by the living God. You should not be surprised to learn there is a verse for EVERYTHING 👇

This was one of the most raw moments from the entire conversation... and it stayed with me.
You heard me right. I hope @PhilipAMitchell's prayer never gets answered.

The Bible is the literal word of God. Every word is true. The Gospel is true. You can trust your life on it 🙌

NEVER FORGET THE 21
In 2015, twenty Christian men were taken to a beach in Libya and ordered to deny Christ. Beside them, Matthew Ayariga chose their faith and their fate:
“Their God is my God.”
Twenty Christians were taken to that beach. Twenty-one died for Christ.

O heart, heart! Awake!
“This people draw near with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,
while their hearts are far from me.” Isaiah 29:13
In March 2016, a woman pulled into a Dutch Bros Coffee drive-through in Vancouver, Washington. She was a regular customer, but this visit was different.
Her 37-year-old husband had died the night before.
The employees could see that she was struggling inside her car. Pierce Dunn, 19, asked if he could pray with her. She said yes.
Dunn was joined by coworkers Evan Freeman and Jacob Hancock. The three leaned through the drive-through window, held the woman's hand and stayed there with her for nearly five minutes, praying for peace for her and her family.
They gave her a free drink and told her she could come back anytime if she needed someone to talk to.
None of them knew that another customer, Barbara Danner, was sitting in the line behind them. She quietly photographed the moment.
Dunn later said he had never prayed with someone through a drive-through window before.
That morning, three coffee shop employees couldn't change what had happened the night before. They could only make sure she didn't have to sit with it alone.

🚨INCREDIBLE: A baby was taken out of the womb at 23 weeks, had a life-threatening tumor removed, and was put BACK INSIDE so she could keep growing.
In one of the most remarkable surgeries ever performed, doctors at Texas Children’s Hospital opened the mother’s uterus at just 23 weeks, partially delivered the tiny baby, cut away a massive tumor that was crushing her heart, then gently placed her back into the womb and sewed everything shut.
The baby, LynLee Hope, continued developing for another 13 weeks and was born healthy near full term.
This is open fetal surgery — one of the most advanced and delicate procedures in modern medicine. Surgeons literally operate on a child who is still supposed to be inside her mother, then return her to finish growing.
A living miracle of skill, courage, and science.

One of the best explanations of why Jesus had to die on the cross that I've ever heard. I've listened to apologetics content for 20+ years and have never heard this. Well done @howertonjosh
