Microchips in themselves are just numbers, it’s only when this number is entered into a chip checker online that it is meaningful and we can see the data attached. It’s at this point that we can track the activity and send you a safety ping alert.
Unfortunately there is no way of knowing the chip has been scanned, as the scanners are not linked up to a network, it’s a closed loop. QR codes are different as when you scan it takes you to a web address and at that point we are alerted and can send you a safety ping.
