The Knight Rider era is practically here. We now have a car that drives itself, talks to you, and jumps over obstacles.
It doesn’t have to make sense. Apparently, being able to do it is enough.
The first design was much better.
This is what happens when you announce a product too early. By the time it reaches production, the design already looks dated. Maybe they’ll change it again by 2028.
No live stream today. Only a prerecorded video from Apple. #AppleEvent

The new Volkswagen ID. Tiguan features a dashboard that looks like the one in my old VW Caddy.
We’ve come full circle. From spaceship-style dashboards back to simple analog-looking dials.
Facebook, an absolute evil when it comes to user data and privacy, is trying to buy us with a cute little AI avatar to get access to our daily workflows?

Breaking: Michael Burry says OpenAI and Anthropic are faking the AI warnings due to slow growth ahead of IPOs
Below are his reasonings:
1. LLMs are not AI and won't be AGI. There is nothing AI to slow down.
2. Competition is coming up fast, slowing benefits incumbents.
3. IPOs need hype & puffery; "we are so awesome it could become dangerous" is hype & puffery
4. Cover for real uncontrollable slowing growth as IPOs look to be pushed out
We may already be living in the “Dead Internet Theory” reality.

But what if we flip the problem? Instead of marking what’s artificial, mark what’s real.
Apple introduced Apple Reference Image technology. The camera securely signs sensor data at the pixel level at the moment of capture, creating an unalterable reference of what the camera actually saw.
Imagine an Instagram where you can choose to post only verified, camera-captured photos. Or a dating app where profile photos can carry a “Verified Original” badge. Or marketplaces, journalism, insurance, reviews, citizen reporting.
Over the last few years, tech figured out how to generate almost anything. Now we might need to spend the next few figuring out how to prove something is real. I think there’s a whole new market hiding in that problem.

Apple just released new tutorials on how to prepare your apps for iPhone Duo.
I watched them, and a few things stood out:
3. We now have ArrangementView.
It lets you define primary and secondary views and automatically rearrange them based on screen size, orientation, aspect ratio, and the fold.
There are split and overlay arrangements, so two views can go from side-by-side to top-and-bottom or foreground/background depending on how the phone is being used.
