Rydnn McGuire grew up watching Allan McGregor in goals for #Rangers - now McGregor is the 17-year-old's goalkeeping coach with McGuire intent on replicating his journey from academy to first-team. “For me, he's the best Rangers goalkeeper ever. “To work with him is surreal. All I want to do is impress him and earn his respect. I want him to look at me and think, ‘That young boy's a good goalkeeper.’ “I don't want to just be another young goalkeeper. I want him to remember me as a young goalkeeper who's done well. It's unbelievable coming in every day. He's a very good goalkeeper coach." rangersreview.co.uk/intervie…

I dream of being Rangers No.1, now I'm working in the first team with Allan McGregor

Rydnn McGuire on working with Ivor Pandur: “Ivor is absolutely rapid across the goal. I've never seen somebody cover ground so quickly. He might not be as tall as some other goalkeepers, but he's not scared to come for a cross. He backs himself all the way to catch it or punch it. Whatever decision he makes, he commits to it. “His header in the Old Firm game at Ibrox is a perfect example. He must have come about 30 yards off his line and he just commits to it. He doesn't hesitate. “I don't think fans always realise how beneficial that is because it takes pressure off the defence. I've learned a lot from him. He's been really good with me and he's a great guy as well.” rangersreview.co.uk/intervie…

Rydnn McGuire signed a three-year contract extension at Rangers last month. The highly-rated 17-year-old, who's been part of the first-team picture for over a year and routinely played up age levels throughout his youth career, says Ibrox was "always the place he wanted to be". “You hear about other pathways and you hear other noise [from other clubs]. As a young player it's hard not to listen to that stuff. But Rangers was always the place I wanted to be and when I saw the pathway here it was exactly what I wanted.” Read @JoshuaBarrieRR's exclusive interview discussing early exposure, working with Allan McGregor, learning from Ivor Pandur and his dreams of being Rangers' goalkeeper. rangersreview.co.uk/intervie…

Definitely a concern, there does seem to be a few promising young goalies coming through thankfully. Liam McFarlane on loan at Partick Thistle from Hearts, Rydnn McGuire at Rangers, Callan McKenna at Bournemouth.
