#MexicoGP 🇲🇽 | Lewis Hamilton talks about his incident with Charles Leclerc:
“In the drivers briefings we discussed, soon as you go off in Turn 1 you have to give the position back. Last year I got a 10 second penalty for that same move that he did.”
“Ultimately it was that that lost us the win today. I think we have to have some serious talks behind the scenes for sure.”

'I think it's a mentality thing. It's like do or die. Like, either I win, or none of us do.'
Lewis Hamilton: "Before I joined this team, when I was in Mercedes, I watched and witnessed the back-and-forth between Charles and Carlos. Several races where they were battling so much that the person ahead just pulled away, and they had the pace to actually win the race."
"It’s one thing when that's happening in fourth and fifth as opposed to first and second, and you lose the win. That's significant. The guy is 28 years old, so I don't think it's an age thing. I think it's a mentality thing. It's like do or die. Like, either I win, or none of us do, and it shouldn't be that. It should be, us having got that one-two, which is still a good feeling."
"At Silverstone, I could have gone all kamikaze on him and taken him off and lost us the the win, but instead a one-two was there, and I think we got a one-two, or was it a one-three? I'm happy for the team to have experienced that. I'm hopeful we'll work towards a better place in the future."

The fact that George isn’t speaking to the media after Mexico says a lot about where things stand right now. Especially when FIA didn’t even granted him an exemption from his media obligations.
And honestly, what could he possibly say that he hasn’t already said a hundred times this season?
Just think, George qualified on the front row, got a good initial launch and then suddenly had absolutely no speed. 3 positions lost before they even reached the first corner. Then came the penalty, another race spent trying to recover and eventually a P6 finish. His race engineer and Toto had to apologise to him, telling him it was them.
In ONE race one Mercedes driver became World Champion, while the other lost his last chance at the title and dropped from second to 4th in the championship standings and it wasn’t his fault. But it happened at race that decided everything. I don’t think people realise just how fucking brutal that is.
How many more times does he have to hear his team apologise? How many more weekends does he have to spend trying to recover from something that went wrong before he even had a proper chance to race?
George has been compared to Kimi all season long and we’ve had to listen to the media and people online constantly talking about how much better Kimi is, how he’s outperforming George, while completely ignoring everything George has been dealing with week after week.
And just imagine the pressure he’s been under. He went into this season as a favourite to win the WDC and now he’s dropped out even the top 3. All while having to deal with constant comparisons to his own teammate and watching people overlook just how much he’s been struggling with things beyond his control. I barely can imagine what is really going on RIGHT NOW. He deserved so much better than this
#MexicoGP 🇲🇽 | Lewis Hamilton post race:
“The race… I gave it everything. Unfortunately the race was lost in the first two corners. It’s a shame because we could’ve easily finished 1st and 2nd in this race if we worked together as a team.”
“We didn’t sit down and talk before. Again, it’s all fair and well racing against your teammate, as long as it’s not to the detriment of the team’s points and the team’s opportunity of getting the best result. The team has to come first. Today we lost the win for the team, today we lost points, I lost 2nd in the Championship.”
“That’s a real shame. It affects so many people back at the factory. It wasn’t good.”
#MexicoGP 🇲🇽 | Lewis Hamilton when asked to talk about the incident with Charles:
“I’d rather not. I’d rather talk about Kimi, you know? Kimi just won the World Championship. Youngest world champion ever, you know? I’d love to keep it on a positive.”
“I don’t really have anything to say about the scenario with Charles. You can see what happened and the reason we lost the win.”
“But otherwise, really happy and really honoured to be up there with Kimi and with Max. Three world champions, pretty cool moment.”
Lewis Hamilton says that it’s on every driver’s contract that they have to work as a team, and that Ferrari didn’t do that today.
He says it’s a shame to lose the race as they did and that this will continue to happen unless action is taken and deep and serious conversation are held after this weekend.
“For sure it won’t be easy but it must be done.”

This race is a prime example of why Ferrari have won nothing in 2 decades.
Absolutely no idea about how to do strategy or manage drivers.

Jesus. She's even worse than I thought. Utterly trapped in her bubble and totally arrogant about it. – at Midhurst, England
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon pushes back after being asked why America’s CEOs are afraid to criticize President Trump: “I’ve said what I think. What the hell else do you want me to say?” 🇺🇸
Interviewer: “I’m genuinely struck by the unwillingness of CEOs in America to say anything critical. There’s a climate of fear in your country. Would you agree with that?”
Jamie Dimon: “The Davos intellectual elite. I’ve been coming to Davos all these years, listening to chatter and stuff like that. Has it done a good job making the world a better place? We get together and talk. What do you want me to do?
I have strong views. Some of the things Trump has done are good, and some are not.
I’m not a tariff guy. Do I use it in certain cases? Yes. I think they should change their approach to immigration. I’ve said it.
What the hell else do you want me to say? I’m trying to have a conversation.”
