This morning, Secret Service barred our own @PENGuild member Cheyenne Haslett from the White House simply for doing her job.
Press access cannot be weaponized against journalists for their reporting. An attack on one outlet's ability to cover the White House is an attack on a free press for all of us.

When will @politico leaders detail their new "vision" for the newsroom? How many times do @penguild members have to ask for this insight into their own jobs?
And yet, @politico management still hasn’t met our main demand: Articulating the vision that allegedly precipitated these buyouts. We warned management when they announced this move that we would lose talented colleagues if they didn’t explain their reasons for doing this. 4/4

In May, @BusinessInsider laid off 25% of our members with executives saying they were “going all in on AI.” Then, in an all-hands meeting in November, Mathias Dopfner, the CEO of BI’s parent company Axel Springer, said that AI will lead to job losses. (2/5)
