Today hunts will be out there breaking the law and trying their hardest to terrorise and kill wildlife, and sabs will be out there stopping them. For over 60 years the HSA has been saving lives and documenting the cruelty inflicted upon wildlife by hunts and today is no different. Sabs from over 60 affiliated groups will not only be evidencing illegal hunting and the crimes that come along with it, but they'll also be putting themselves between the hunts and the wildlife they want to see suffer. On the 3rd November 2026 The Cottesmore Hunt rampaged through a graveyard in St Peter's Church, Knossington, shortly after they'd run amok through Knossington Therapeutic school, clearly on the line of a fox. This isn't the first time a hunt has allowed hounds to run, out of control, through a graveyard. The Warwickshire Hunt faced public backlash after their hounds ran through St James Church, Idlicote back in 2019. The huntsman was nowhere to be seen as hounds defecated near headstones, and of course no-one bothered to clean up after them. In February 2026 it was reported by the League Against Cruel Sports that The Middleton Hunt tore through Mowthorpe Garden of Rest within the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North Yorkshire. Hunts have no respect for the living; with constant reports nationally of trespass, hounds running through private gardens and the general public being put at risk by their actions. They also have no respect for the dead; with hounds running through graveyards and defecating near headstones. Hunts will stop at nothing to terrorise and kill wildlife, regardless of who they affect and whose loved ones they disrespect.

A South Suffolk Hunt Saboteur has been found not guilty despite former Essex & Suffolk huntsman John Henty's best efforts. Henty pursued a prosecution alleging abusive and threatening behaviour under Section 5 of the Public Order Act. The case followed an incident on a quiet country lane in which Henty pursued the hunt saboteurs' vehicle, blocked it in, approached it and attempted to provoke a reaction. However, upon reflection the case raises serious questions as to why it was ever brought to court in the first place, when both the defence and the prosecution sought to discontinue the case on more than once occasion. The judge concluded that Henty had continued the interaction with the sab of his own accord and had got out of his vehicle voluntarily, amongst other things. A considerable amount of time, money and public resources have been spent pursuing this matter, leaving us asking why was it allowed to get this far in the first place?
