Conspiracy theory here Dodgers are throwing this season to allow the Brewers to get to the World Series The Brewers will then face TB/CLE, and all 3 are small market, low payroll teams Dodgers at the Winter meetings will then say look at the World Series we just had, why do we need a salary cap? “Anybody can win” Everybody will agree, nothing changes to payroll, no salary cap, no lockout happens Dodgers now go into every free agency and sign everybody and then some, other teams continue on with the low payroll as they have no consequences One season of sacrifice to gain years more of unlimited spending
